Black Friday Is Here Can You Feel The Excitement?

You're going to see a lot of this today. It's the same old drill year after year. You could run the same live footage too and nobody, really, could see any big difference, only the crowds have become larger and more obnoxious, thanks to the assist from local TV/Radio who don't have a creative bone in their body to bring viewers anything different.

Black Friday. Ho hum. The crowd shots have become tiresome. The live shots are predictable too with the usual mass humanity of idiots lined up behind some 500 TV they can buy for 200--it's cliché-central. The reporters are just as moronic as the civilians. The visuals are so, so, back ass --boring too, really. I mean, how many shots of the local shopping mall is enough. We get it. And many of us are tired of seeing all this consumer mayhem. Enjoy the annual barrage and good luck and god forbid any real news breaks.

Meanwhile, back to the live shots of the usual suspects trampling over one another. This is just damn riveting --can't get enough.

  2. It IS Black Friday. Why wouldn't it be covered?

    1. It shouldn't get more than a few seconds on the news, unless there's a fire, riot, etc.
We don't need the interviews with shoppers, which are all basically 'duuh, I've been here since Tuesday, cuz I'm gettin' a TEE-vee!'

  4. Today when I feel like going to the mall, I'm going to lay down on the couch until the feeling goes away. KTVU2....Gasia and Rosemary sitting side by side in their "beautiful" anti grandma apparel this morning, doesn't get much better than that. Why I post anonymous? If my girlfriend saw this, I would be "dead meat."

  5. If only 'Happy Talk' could be replaced with call-it-as-we-see-it talk. News anchors expressing real opinions rather than OO forced commentary.

"Hey, Tom...look at those self I indulgent, materialistic bastards...they just trampled a child some other Numbskull thought it was a good idea to bring with them..."

    Cue the "ass...ASS!" guy

  6. Accept it folks ... barring a terrorist attack, somewhere, today's "news" is Black Friday, or ideas/recipes for leftover turkey.

    Kick back, and relax.

  7. Who needs reporters? Everyone there can take videos from their cell phones---we get to see the good stuff direct from the trenches, not some "how long have you been camped out?" crap from the sidewalk.

    1. Yes very good to hear his voice. Interesting to hear his subtle statements on his wish to come back to KGO and the importance of the talk format in particular. As long as the inmates are running the asylum though I don't hold out hope for any return to old KGO "sanity".

  9. No TV for me. The "news" is all about Black Friday. I already know about that.

  10. Americans are such lemmings. They are taught to buy as much useless crap as possible and will actually wait in long lines for the privilege of spending their hard earned m obey on nonsense. No wonder this country is such a mess!
