Party girl? Check. I think she likes to get out and experience low pressure systems.

You need weather passion at KRON.

Weather makes a young woman rich in texture and sanguine.

  1. Hey, someone has to be the next Weather Girl Barbie in these parts--why not her?

  2. I'm not interested in the weather in Ghettoville...

  3. I'm disappointed they passed over yet another WM to hire people of a certain ethnicity. I don't know how much longer the Bay Area viewing public will tolerate this racism.

  4. Another Caitlyn Jenner?

  5. Was it Dan Tuazon at one point?

  6. "Tuazon built like an Amazon, cause she's a brick, house" Commodores.

I will watch and eat lumpia's as a true fan.

    1. Shanna Mendiola is a pretty Filipina-heritage weather girl, I enjoyed watching her when I lived in Bend OR.

This Tuazon person is not attractive in these pics, and I especially don't care for the ghetto/graffiti PR photo bullshit.

  7. Peta needs to look into the abuse of the animals at KRON.

Poor thing has NO idea what she just walked into.

  8. Darya: "Do you think she is pretty Arron?"

Arron: "Not as pretty as you are my lil babushka".

  9. I don't watch tv.

  10. I miss Jackie Bennett. The end.

  11. What does Gary Radnich have to say about her?

  12. Dan the Observier-
    WAAAAAH! WAAAAHHH!!
Every time a non-white gets hired, people like you start whining and crying about "That Minority Hiring thing."

    GET OVER IT, DUDE!

Whites are no longer the majority in our country--ESPECIALLY in the Bay Area. Those days of All-White newscasts...of White-Bread America...are long gone.
    Salsa is the new Ketchup.
Hip-Hop is our country's new music.

Deal with it. Hop aboard...or get the hell off.

    1. Actually, salsa is overrated sauce. Ketchup is still ketchup.

Hip hop is crap, and so is what they play on the radio as "country" music. Country is Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens, and modern day Wayne Hancock.

And America is America, not the third world. So, various ethnic backgrounds no problem. Graffiti/ghetto culture? Get out and/or go back.

    2. @3:12 Your facts are wrong.

Caucasians are still the majority and will continue to be for at least the next 28 years...until 2043. At that time Caucasians will dip under the heralded 50% mark. However, Caucasian will still be the dominant race. They may dip to 49% however it will take a combined Hispanic, Black and Asian population to equal the other 51%.

Quote from NBC news last year..."non-Hispanic white Americans are expected to become a minority group over the next three decades. For years, Americans of Asian, black and Hispanic descent have stood poised to topple the demographic hegemony historically held by white".

So yea, brag all you want but in the end, who cares? Who knows how prosperous the country will be by then and I don't know about you but I'll be closing in on the final decades of my life, not just starting out. Let the following generations figure it out....and most likely fuck it up.

    3. So Stan The Observer can bitch when a WM is hired over a minority but Dan The Observer can't bitch when a minority is hired over a WM? Talk about double standards ! I'm glad Rich allowed both to comment. Kudos to Rich. Both sides of the argument!

  13. Eh...she'll be gone in a couple of months just like the last KRON weather girls; Vanessa Bezic, and some other Asian lady(not Anny Hong). These people who apply at KRON 4, don't do their research about the company. They don't know what they're getting into. It's a shame they would take a job at a shitty work environment.

  14. Can we expect future high pressure in low elevations?

I just figured the answer to that (it depends on what she wears), but I'll posit the question, anyway.

Now I guess I need to pick my meat in order to post this (so to speak).

  15. Welcome, Diane, to the KRON family!!! For as Eleanor Roosevelt once said after breaking wind for the first time, "What the hell was that?!?"

    ReplyDelete
  16. Actually, its a fact.More Salsa was sold last year then Ketchup nationally. I could hardly believe it myself. But- Tabasco and all the rest topped Ketchup.

  17. Interesting hire. After the sudden dismissal of Erica Kato there were murmurs of litigation perhaps based upon age, gender, race? Suddenly out of nowhere comes the hiring of another "ethnic" who also apparently likes to party, is young and vibrant. The cynics among us might point and say: "aha! This hiring is protection in case of future litigation". The defense could be, we don't discriminate! Look we hired another party animal, ethnic, twenty something etc etc. have I been listening to Alex Jones for too long!? Far fetched!?

    1. They are playing to the "target demo"...

      Female
      Head buried in IPhone
      Low self esteem
      Easily distracted by shiny objects.

To make things easier, she will have no problem living in East Palo Alto, cuz she sure as hell cannot afford an apartment in "the city". GASP!

Bet she only got a 1 year contract.

    2. Watch out with those Pinoy Weather Models.. Once they get in the door, they want to bring the entire family.

      Next stop...TV Patrol.

    3. Another "ethnic"? Who talks like that.

  18. Rich, nowhere else to post this. Dig this: I'm playing back The Whispers from last week. At :45 in it was supposed to cut to commercial but the screen went black, then a shot of the Bay Bridge from the KGO news set and - wait for it - an empty chair. An empty chair on the news set. Then commercials ran and back to the program. I'm still laughing as I write this.

    1. I saw that KGO empty chair scene "live" during The Whispers. Made me think that maybe a KRONvict was working their magic on KGO.

  19. What's the deal here? She's really the full-time weather person now? What the heck. Vanessa Bezic was fantastic, an upgrade from Jackie Bennet - and Vanessa actually knows her weather. This is sad - why did they do the crazy rotation for most of this year, and not hire one of the ones they were rotating?

    1. Lol Jackie had a meteorology degree and a seal, Vanessa did not.

      Delete
    2. No, I meant that she gave a very informative weather cast, compared to all the other fill-ins. Jackie was fine. But lack of a degree or a seal is meaningless to the quality of the information provided during the weathercast. Vanessa's weathercasts were very detailed. Vanessa was an upgrade from Jackie Bennet in those other vital areas that are important to shallow males.

I poked around and apparently Vanessa hit on a good job elsewhere (not in weathercasting). Shame. She was by far the best of the fillins, and I really hoped she'd be permanent.

  20. This fixation on here about ethnicity kinda cracks me up if you look at America's prejudices towards immigrants, historically. I hope no one making these comments has any Irish, Italian, Jewish or even Scandinavian blood in them because all were looked down upon when they first came to this country. My grandfather and grandmother were told they were "dumb Swedes" when they got here and people made fun of their accents. Some of our grandparents and great grandparents are probably rolling in their graves seeing the same comments that were aimed at them, aimed at others now by their grandkids and great grandkids.

  21. What's up Anonymous...why are you such a Diane Tuazon hater? She's just trying to make a living in TV. She's a nice girl but all you seem to care about is that she is asian and likes to have fun. She is still young. What do you want her to do, sit around at home and do nothing? Give the girl a chance
