  4. Yes, that is one of the best calls you can find on YouTube.
    As a kid I remember a game where a grounder is hit to shortstop Johnny Lemaster and the ball goes under his glove and between his legs for an error. After the call Lon says "It's a good thing they don't hand out rifles here in the booth!"
    His annual "bottom of the fifth and the bags are loaded" joke was something to look forward to as well.

  6. A classic! I was there covering that game that day on network radio and remember a lot of the media folks missed it because it was late in the contest when Young scored the TD and many of the writers and other media folks wanted to get through the crowd and down onto the field so that they had quick access to the locker room after the game.

    What they missed was special and Lon's call is a classic. Years later he commented to Young that "I think both you and I were running out of gas at the end!"
