    2. Yeah, and worry that the guy who thought Mike Singletary was a visionary coach (because he told Jed what a great job he does for a few years prior) is now going to be using that thinker again.

  4. Tell you what, the 49er Offense is so bad right now they might not be able to score on Cal's defense.. Now they face Oakland who finally got a win followed by complete embarrassment against the Rams, looking to save face against an arch rival at their house.. And the 49er drama, with their owner tweeting a vote of no confidence while the GM's daughter takes a shot at the Offensive coordinator, might be enough distraction for a mass 49er sleep walk occurrence..

  5. I wrote about Harbaugh to the Raiders two months ago...and now I see Kawakami,KNBR and others now taking credit. No shame in local media. Even my ideas on how they could pay him is being stolen. I have it in black and white.

    1. Call off the lawyer dogs, Stan. Here's an article from August in which Kawakami mentions the Raiders as being on the short list should Harbaugh "become available".

    2. Is Stan crazy? He continually takes credit for things others have said or done and imagines they stole the idea from him.

At first I thought he was joking but apparently he's serious. How in the world could journalists who don't even know Stan exists steal his thoughts. Sounds insane.

    3. Stan! I am in the strategy biz. ... Let me offer you a free professional suggestion. about predictions. If it does not generate dollars. It does not make sense. So who cares about your prediction!? Stay away from this blog. .. You are so stupid.

  6. Been following the Forty Niners since 1956. It is really getting old listening to this story of millionaires and multi millionaires who need their egos stroked or having their feelings hurt. Meanwhile an above average but not great team is floundering at 7-5. Oh, and one more thing, the NFL should ban Twitter during the season, stupidity is one thing putting it in writing is quite another.

  7. As much blame as the offense is getting, and should be fixable, where's the credit for the Niners' defense. They lose the best two inside linebackers in football and haven't lost a beat. Harbaugh has the best record EVER by an NFL coach in his first four years - I think you have to suffer temperamental geniuses sometimes. . . to a point, but Harbaugh hasn't reached that point to my eyes yet. I remember the years before Walsh and I remember the years before Harbaugh. I don't wanna go back there.

    1. If I recall correctly, George Seifert won his first 100 games at a record pace. How did his Head Coaching career end up? Harbaugh has had a good run in SF, but his act is flaming out here. I wish him well in Ann Arbor, or Oakland, or wherever he ends up.

Unfortunately, Niner fans will have to suffer through their team's injury situations and an inevitable "rebuild." All part of the cycle of winning and losing in the NFL!

  8. Given the Niners history it wouldn't surprise me if they cut Harbaugh loose. York Sr got rid of Mariucci after a disappointing playoff loss to eventual champion Tampa Bay back in 2002, and until Harbaugh showed up nearly ten years later, the franchise was mostly bad and mediocre with Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan and then the highly dysfunctional Mike Singeltary, ("I WANT WINNERS!") roaming the sidelines. Harbaugh is a piece of work and has a huge ego, but he also turned around a bad team in short order, taking them to three NFC Title games and a Superbowl. Injuries have killed their chances of going far this year, but is Harbaugh to blame for that? Yes, the offense in unimaginative, but you can't win when your offensive line is missing three key players from a year ago. Jed York needs to grow up and Trent Baalke needs to make more of an effort to work with Harbs. If he is fired, who are they going to get that's any better?
