Christina Loren is a certified meteorologist. Fact.
The NBC Bay Area weather anchor is also a star too, pleasant to watch and smart enough, savvy enough to give you the very best, most accurate forecast.
We've been talking a lot about weather here in the Bay Area; now that we have a legitimate drought it's cool, it's OK and that's why I've been watching Loren more. She sort of keeps it real and I can appreciate that.
And yes, as I indicated, Ms. Loren is easy on the eyes and that's fine. In fact, I would suggest that is why I watch, is that a crime to admit? I don't think so--TV is a visual medium and that's why they hire pretty people.
Loren is a star too but you already knew that. I approve of this message.

She really knows how to work it.
ReplyDeleteThat's fine with me.
Rich,
ReplyDeletePlease explain these posts? No one here cares about weather girls, or large breasted women, for the most part, at least not the people who come to the blog. Are you infatuated with these women who you'll likely never get? If not that, then what? Is there a clamoring for weather personality info on the blog?
My guess is you think this will result in hits to the page if someone does a random search for one of the weather girls. If that happens, why would that person stay on your site? The content doesn't appeal to a large audience in the first place, so fishing for new readers at the expense of current ones seems like a waste of time, and a disservice to those of us who do come to the page.
Or maybe there's another reason altogether?
It's ironic since you have consistently complained about the unnecessary nature of radio stations covering the weather in the Bay Area.
Try not to delete this post too.
You're infatuated with me, Dano, you write every day so obviously you can't get enough of this. If its that bad, then go watch PBS.
DeleteI care about weather and breasts. The more breasts shots the better. Rich for the love of all that is healthy more breasts.........
DeleteSensible, well thought out posts that actually make a point get deleted here all the time Dano. Get over it. I bat .750 on a good month.
DeleteAny criticism should really be directed towards Ch 11 for assuming that their viewers gravitate to bright shiny objects. NBC gets it all wrong, all the time, top to bottom.
Feh. Weather Girl Barbie . . .
ReplyDeleteExcellent posture!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like 2 pickets to titsburgh please.
ReplyDeletePart of a great joke but this crowd wouldn't tolerate the punchline.
DeleteLieberman must believe that his readers are as infantile as himself. Rich, go out and meet real women instead of drooling over pictures of them.
ReplyDeleteShe is a nice girl too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a hottie! I bet that lovely lass gets at least a few marriage proposals a week!
ReplyDelete"Christina Loren is a certified meteorologist. Fact"
ReplyDeleteRich, you need to check your facts! Ms. Loren is NOT a certified Meteorologist. She does not have the CBM seal issued by the American Meteorological Society. Only those who graduated from a 4 year University with a degree in Meteorology qualify under new guidelines and that after only rigid testing both written and on-air work judged by experts in the field.
Prior to that most TV Meteorologist obtained the AMS seal which is still valid but no longer awarded. The National Weather Association also issues a seal of it's own.
Mississippi State offers a 3 year online program - upon completion one is given a certificate of completion, but NOT as listed in her Bio.
All this does not mean she does not have the skills to forecast, but to be clear she is NOT a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist according to the AMS. With out a 4 year degree and because the AMS Seal is no longer awared, the only Certification Ms. Loren can apply for now is the NWA seal. I know you like to get the facts correct. You don't have to post this - but just thought I would clear it up for you for future info. Cheers!

Uh, I DID check my facts and it was on her bio which is good enough for me unless proven otherwise.
DeleteThis commenter is 100% correct. Unfortunately, there is no regulation for calling oneself a meteorologist, which there should be, so saying she's a met in her bio means squat. And Mississippi State's online program is only a certificate, not a degree. This is why the AMS changed their requirements to get a seal, to essentially eliminate those with Miss. State certificate from applying for seals. Only people with degrees are certified meteorologists, unless you want to argue with the American Meteorological Society.
DeleteDidn't Bob Dylan warn us about over-relying on weathermen (and presumably weatherwomen) in "Subterranean Homesick Blues"?
DeleteShe gets my Isobar rising...

ReplyDeleteWhere is Christine Craft when we need advice on the 'proper perspective'
ReplyDeleteon how we should view 'weather girls' ?
Well, is she certified or not?
ReplyDeleteShe can take my temperature anytime!!
ReplyDeleteGood work Rich! A little eye candy to go with industry news and gossip - what more do you need? To all those who don't like it - skip the post. It's not like he's posting anything offensive or NSFW.
she has no idea what she's talking about. i'll take Roberta Gonzalez, Leigh Glasser, Lisa Argen or Rosemary Orozco over Christina any time, any day.
ReplyDeleteI don't care if she's a meteorologist or not. She does ok. What does get to me is that she's constantly messing with her hair. One segment it's on one side of her head. The next segment it's on the other side. She just can't stop playing with it.
ReplyDelete> One segment it's on one side of her head. The next segment it's on the other side. She just can't stop playing with it.
DeleteThat's what she said!
I'm betting she gets lots of back aches carrying those pups around in those poses. That and the heels.
ReplyDeleteA milfy looker with non-credentialed wind between her ears. Got a certificate from Pep Boys online. Real met seals come from real met schools, not onlines -- except from Phoenix.
She'll be on MSNBC in no time. Just watch..
Having boobs up to one's chin is not a natural look. But let's take a look at Ms Loren a few years ago, before coming to EssEff:

Was she still hot then?
Hell yeah she was hot back then! Look at a pic of her from 2005!
