Is there a Football Game Today?

We defer to the national holiday.

Enjoy your day.

  1. Smart move Rich. Americans want to have fun and not be bothered with all of the bad news about the media...at least on this day! But the a-holes who run these big mega-companies that have ruined our radio stations will one day be held accountable if enough people stand up and make enough noise.
However, I'm very skeptical. Americans will continue to buy into the big business propoganda that allows them to f... this country over until they're unlucky enough to lose their jobs. The maybe...they'll take some action!

  2. Anon 11:50am, please find and watch this week's Bill Moyers & Co. program on one of the PBS stations. (KQED has it opposite the Superbowl, and again overnight, and I think Channel 22 from Sant Rosa has it tomorrow evening.) It features a conversation with Jonathon Haigt, and goes directly to what you wrote in your comment. It was a fascinating interview.

  3. Rich, KGO-TV just fired their entire staff!! KPIX accidentally hired a real reporter!! KTVU has rebranded itself "The Nude News"!! The KRON manager in charge of hiring weather babes was arrested for employing children!! KNTV was caught in an immigration roundup and was deported back to San Jose!! Quick, stop watching football and spend the rest of the day checking out these tips!!

  5. This will make the day even better!

Karel on the air live to his Palm Springs station and the first hour is all about "big game" snacks! And, he prerecorded the show for two hours! I'm betting he's watching some "tight ends". LOL!

I'm going back to Christine Craft on 810. "More intelligent talk."

  6. Christine Craft had a great show Sunday. First hour info and facts about the SF sheriff flap that no one's talking about, and hour two - what's wrong with the Susan Komen foundation. Check it out.

  7. I predict the Giants will win 21-17 and Eli Manning will be MVP. And that's your Goombah Gambling Tip of the Day!

  8. 'THE MONTY SHOW?' what a joke! How soon people forget that this guy was already on "THE GAME" several months ago, but was so bad doing sports talk over there that they canned his sorry ass.

Cumulus obviously doesn't get it, so they not only give this guy a regular weekend shot, but that make it a general talk show, which is really a joke!

Monty is nothing but one of these guys who sounds like he graduated from one of those ridiculously tacky radio schools and he also is fascinated by the sound of his own voice!

Monty sounds pompous, arrogant, rude, and doesn't really seem to know much about anything...especially local sports (when he was working at THE GAME his lack of knowledge was alarming!)

Maybe that's why THE GAME fired his sorry fat ass! IT'S A DISGRACE
to all qualified broadcasters, when they turn on the radio and have hear some blithering idiot like Monty holding forth!

  9. 2:14pm...humn didn't get the job huh? You protest too much, you couldn't cut the mustard so you attack Monty. You are a sad sack loser. I am not a fan of Monty BTW, but your hateful, spiteful rant is so over the top and wicked.

  10. Oh yeah..that's right...Monty doesn't deserved to be treated so badly!
He's one of the most talented radio pros in the market! THANK GOD SOMEONE HIRED HIM!

BROVO CUMULUS FOR ONCE AGAIN MAKING A BRILLIANT HIRE!
