YES, its HOT outside, as SF media will tell you Tonight

Our heat wave in action: 101 in SF; well over the century mark in the inland valleys, and yes, even the coast is boiling.

Predictable "TOP" story on all the channels: "It's hot in the Bay Area!", Duh! Gees, I thought I'd put on an extra sweater, Madge.

OK, watch for these exciting events:

1. The proverbial live shots from the ever-lovely, demo-friendly Walnut Creek fountain where schmuck "reporters" ask little white kid, middle-age white woman, (preferably BMW-look,) so, "how you coping with this heat?" Answer: "Uh, we'll, you know, its really 'hot outside--blah, blah, blah..."

2. Livermore roofers...Reporter: "How's it goin' up there--are you hot?" Roofer: "Uh, we'll, yep, sure is hot up here, but gotta pay the bills!." (Wouldn't it be great if one sage soul were to tell that moron to go eff him/herself?)

3. Yuppies in the Marina/Castro eating ice-cream. (The old standby)

--Radio is guilty too. KGO and KCBS mumblers, both AM and PM anchors went gaga over Mother Nature's annual heat parade, before the fog returns and they can kvetch about cold summers.

  1. Actually, your so right on that. I didn't even bother to watch the weathercasts. It really would be remotecasts of Nordic types in Pleasanton saying it will be so hot at the park's Jazz and Wine festival..
