Rick Quan, Korach and others in the Coliseum press box ghetto

Went over to the Coliseum to witness a 1-0 A's beauty over the SF Giants.

Great game, big crowd, fast and furious pitching gem by the A's Gio Gonzalez, who at one point retired 20 in a row, yes 20 in a row...

Ran into former KPIX sports anchor Rick Quan, who is enjoying life, occasionally subbing at KGO-TV...All the semi-biggies in the box: Joe Starkey, A's pby-guy Ken Korach., Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper.

Said hi to A's TV color analyst, Ray Fosse. Fosse correctly predicted that Bob Geren would take Gonzalez out of the game in the ninth for saver Andrew Bailey. I told Fosse "no way." Sure enough, Fosse was right.

End result, Bailey saved, A's win.

**Big crowd, 35,000-plus. Sellout. Back at the saddle and ready to explore windy night in the city.

  1. YOU were there? Quan was there? Then Gary Radnich wasn't within 20 miles of the Coliseum!
