Justine Waldman KRON
Dana King KPIX
Carolyn Johnson KGO-TV
These are very talented newswomen anchors who happen to be striking hot. Ask anybody out there on the streets of San Francisco.
My 1 and 1A are Dana King of KPIX and Carolyn Johnson of KGO-TV. Both give a very heady, solid, straight, no-nonsense delivery with just the right amount of flair, humor, and emotion.
Most especially King, who at 50, bucks the trend of modern local TV anchorwomen who seem to look as if they just graduated college. King is getting better with time.
I like Waldman's confident presentation and professional demeanor; ditto the very capable and visually-adept, Johnson. No need for chatty discourse, just good old-fashioned delivery.
Jessica Aguirre has always impressed me since her days at KGO--she's now just as splendid as ever at NBC Bay Area. And Julie Haener is just too darn perfect at KTVU.
There's no doubt some women, (and men too), might be offended at this post. Why? TV is a visual medium. Pretty women anchors, (and capable too) are not grounds for a crime. We look for looks sake. I do. So do you.
Who do you like?
