It's not shocking anymore that dumb people will do dumb things. Especially baseball fans who've consumed a lot of beer.
What is surprising is that an incident in SF's crown jewel of a ballpark received scant attention locally, while the national sporting press has reported it across the board.
Baltimore Orioles outfielder, Adam Jones, says someone threw a banana at him in the 9th inning in Sunday's finale against the Giants. I can't imagine Jones would make up such a serious accusation.
Outside of a few morning shows, the alleged incident didn't get a lot of play here. I didn't hear many radio shows but I did see a few TV newscasts. Not a word. That's disturbing.
