I dropped the SF Chronicle like a hot potato last year and invested in the LA Times. The reporters and stories are way better than what you can read in the Comical. They even allow reader comments. The Comical doesn't have the guts to face the truth about the lack of quality in their product. KNX vs. KCBS -- don't make me laugh. LA TV news is way better too. For those of you Bay Area zombies feeling angry about this, you should. It's the truth. About the only thing SF has going for it is the mayor. Daniel Lurie knows how to run a city. That Karen in LA couldn't run to the bathroom without tripping over herself.
Agree on some of this re. LA...yes better radio down, yes LA Times is still a worthy newspaper, and yes restaurants stay open longer down there. On the other hand, restaurant cuisine...way more creative up here, TV news has much better coverage of important government news up here vs. entertainment style news (egg. helicopter chases) down there, traffic down there is always terrible, and Oracle Park experience vs. Dodger Stadium experience...please, no contest. Bay Area housing cost is more...why? Because it's more desirable to live up here.
You're right about the media but SF has a better mayor
ReplyDeleteLA has a far superior baseball team.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention two far superior hockey teams.
DeleteNo doubt about it

DeleteRich, fine dining can't compete with retards that like purple burritos, avocado toast and ramen. The dilettante idiot generation is lost.
