  1. Everybody knows it’s political you jackass! Paramount is trying to merge with Skydance and the only way the merger goes through is if FCC (Trump) signs off on it.

    2. If this was the reason why is he doing now? Colbert's has been going on 9 years now through other CBS deals. Sounds like an excuse not a reason. Plus the same thing was said 20 years ago when Rather was fired during Bush's administration.

  3. Good Riddance!!! Colbert, was rarely funny. He along with the other two (Kimmel, Fallon) have destroyed the Late Night programming. It used to be a chance for people to relax before going to bed and put the stress of the day aside.

    1. That's for sure! These idiots just pander to whatever their handlers tell them. No originality. Neutered, stale, predictable. I'm sure Adam Corolla wouldn't mind seeing Jimmy get spanked.

    2. Letterman and Leno were not like Carson, no where close.

    3. 9:52 You must be low IQ, each had their own style, they knew not to cross certain lines and were comedic masters, you're too dense to know the difference

    1. CBS has to make a down payment. Gotta sell a few useless toys first. Kimmel told CBS to F.O. for his "buddy". Damn skippy, he's next! Those Diddy parties must be bumpin!

  10. Skydance needs those tv station licenses. They are permits to print money. This has nothing to do with CBS Network, 60 Minutes or anything else.

  11. @4:11 is that an admission that the guy who just got canned is a left winger?

  12. The show was losing money. No further debate needed.

  13. He was good on Comedy Channel. He changed for the worst i.e. not funny at all. I have been watching Gutfeld from Day 1. He has a different format from all others. He and his co-host guest are funny and give responses to current topic that people can understand.

  19. Colbert will be back. I’m guessing HBO.

Now that Bill Maher has become unwatchable they’ll need a political show.

It’s a lead pipe cinch he is on HBO by 2027.
