Trump Landslide Creates Alternate Universal Local/National Media In Shock

  1. I'm in the majority of Americans who cast a vote for Trump. I watched CNN's coverage last night and found it fair and tempered. I switched over to MSNBC and it felt like I was watching a funeral, the hosts were so somber. I'm hoping CNN's coverage last night is a sign that they've shifted to a more moderate position.

    1. @ 7:56 Yes, CNN is starting to change a little bit, noticed that in the Biden debate, surprising fair, hopefully it might get back to its former trusted self, also the "View" was surprisingly "gentle" on the 11/6/24 show

    2. “I'm hoping CNN's coverage last night is a sign that they've shifted to a more moderate position.”

There’s a fine line between moderate and turning a blind eye. Media should hold tyrannical lunatics accountable, not take a ‘moderate’ position thereby further normalizing Trump’s anti-democratic and fascist behavior.

  2. Dan Bongino on KSFO and or his website did call it. Yes polls don't matter but early voting does in the key swing states. He and Trump pushed for early voting. I don't watch the legacy local media on TV. I do listen to Dan's Show. Ray from Sunnyvale

    1. Actually the New York Times had an excellent editorial about this very thing yesterday, written by Bret Stephens. He nailed the problem with the Democrats and the recent liberal movement in general. I recommend it highly. But it's behind a paywall. There's an easy way around their paywall but I'd better not say what it is or I'll be aiding and abetting. ;-)

    2. Stephen A Smith gave his honest and intelligent analysis on why Trump won, (he didn't vote for Trump) the View's panel except for back stabber Alyssa Farah Griffin facial expressions of disdain is priceless! Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to explain why and why before Smith's appearance but most of her View's co-host facial expressions is of disbelief , priceless

    3. @ 1:36 The pandemic gave opportunities for "funny business" ie known as "cheating". Remember Philadelphia? Trump was ahead by 800,000 and when I woke up in the AM it evaporated due to truck from NY bringing "ballots", also cheating in Atlanta when they kicked everyone out of counting room due to "water leaks", came back at midnight, pulled out cases of "ballots" and started counting; SCOTUS's John Roberts refused to take election fraud case

    4. There's noise that Russia interfered with the 2016 and the 2024 elections, while Trump claimed the 2020 election was rigged. There is zero proof that there was any interference with the past three elections.

    5. @ 10:20 Hey genius, better look at the biden's 2020 numbers vs harris' 2024 numbers, don't add up,

    6. So why didn't Trump sell the bridge to many judges who looked at the evidence. Every time he talked big to the cameras but folded when he went into a courtroom and put his hand on a Bible. Funny 'bout that.....

    7. "5:50 PM" Oh my God that's been debunked a million times over, lies spread by Trump's buddy in the Kremlin. Look it up.

    8. Just as with the "fake" moon landing claims after all these years, the fact that the Russians would have leapt to prove we really didn't go is obvious. And the fact that Trump would have, if he could, proved 2020 was fraudulent leads to the exact same conclusion: It wasn't. But that's logic, not emotion, and *neither* side is very good at thinking instead of feeling. That's what 40 years of dumbed down public (and even private) education leads to—posts like the idiocy here.

      Delete
    9. @ 5:25 Debunked? You're part of the regime that refused to look and acknowledged the videos that proves "cheating" that John Roberts don't want to review? One more thing, CALIFORNIA. Right now, in tears and sniff!!!! There are two people I know is LOL right now. Hint, a senior leader being disrespected his own party looks pretty healthy now and a CA leader with a smile who always want to be number one.

After this election, the media and online info is totally bias spreading negative rumors Kamala will win just like Election 2016 and glad people made the right choice on Election Day.

  10. The Harris campaign was flawed from the beginning. Trying to target the middle class is excluding the other classes. Trying to target college students is excluding students who won't go to college. Trying to target first time home buyers is excluding renters. To say you'll get started on day one is saying you're not doing much now. Maybe if she had more time, the messaging may have been better, but it was more exclusive when it should've been inclusive.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Agree. She had an uphill battle from the start. Even though she talked about being from the middle class, she seemed detached from any class. Her plans were vague and it seemed like she had a problem connecting with any group. Also, it still feels like America isn't ready for a female President.

    2. @5:50 I think Harris didn't have enough time to develop a good strategy. Her policies were vague, so I felt no connection to her. She's obviously a very gifted prosecutor, but she doesn't give me a sense of confidence as a leader of the country. This is not to say Trump gives me a sense of confidence, but at the very least I'll know what to expect from him. I didn't vote for either candidate, but I feel that Trump will put us all in a better financial situation and keep us out of a world war. Many of my peers felt similarly, so I was not shocked by Tuesday's outcome.

    3. @ 5:52 A gifted prosecutor? I beg to differ, recheck her records in SF and Ca, she likes dismissing cases, most but not all, rob bonta is the same, she has so much respect for law and order she set up bail funds for the Minnesota's rioters whom burned federal buildings, police stations and other mayhem, can't sell me what you're selling

  17. OMG. All of the liberal progressives I work with are in mental shambles today. All of the liberal progressives who are my friends are sharing their disdain non-stop on Facebook. What all of these people fail to see is this: illegals are jumping the border like grasshoppers in heat. They come into America looking for handouts, cause havoc and make life miserable for EVERYONE. That includes LGBTQ+, people of color who followed the rules when they came to America and women. You like walking the streets of San Francisco with these people and the homeless harassing you? You like being afraid to ride public transit because of the filth riding the trains and buses? You can thank idiots like Chesa Boudin, Pamela Price, London Breed and Sheng Thao (thanks for losing the A's, you bitch). But most of these blue people have no clue. They're zombies following whatever their "leader" tells them. What goes around comes around. Your day has come. It's time for a reset. The party is over. You started it, reasonable people are finishing it. Time to take back what's ours.

    1. Sheng Thao is a horrible mayor, but she didn't lose the A's. Fisher has wanted to re-locate for many years. He's been the owner for two decades and attempted to re-locate the team on at least five occasions, so he's the definition of someone who doesn't care about the community or its fanbase. He just cares about the money and MLB also shares a lot of responsibility by allowing the move while not accessing the normal re-location fee.

Prices aren't going back down, manufacturing is not returning to these fly over lands, and deporting immigrants will not stem crime or the drug flow. The usual Trump chaos will ensue...and in four years we will have a Democrat back in the White House.

    1. Agree. When things don't get fixed, he'll just blame the previous administration. It's a vicious cycle. The economy is all about supply and demand. If consumer's demand remain high, corporations will continue to keep prices high. There's nothing Trump could do about it.

    5. @4:10 I'm not a fan of Trump, but do agree with mass deportation and improving border security. Building walls is only part of the solution. Walls can be defeated - just look at the countless examples on YT. There needs to be additional measures to ensure a secure border, and expecting Mexico to fund the wall is a pipe dream.

The best Trump can do is 295. That's not even in the same zip code as the above mentioned election. This was a decisive win for Trump and, apparently, the first time in three tries where he's going to win the popular vote. But it's no landslide.

Recently, I read that Trump wants to impose a blanket 10-20% tariff, and a 60-100% tariff on goods from China. I just can't imagine this being a good thing for the everyday working man/woman. Those tariff charges will only be passed down to the consumer, so how will you be better off going forward with these tariffs?

    4. 4:39. It usually depends on the commodity of the item being imported and its declared value. What he is attempting to do is force the hand of suppliers, sourcing of materials at a competitive cost and generally discourage reliance on foreign imports. I.e, make it more desirable to manufacture stateside than abroad. Incentivize those manufacturers willing to do so with a "Made in the USA" brand. This is pretty much the layperson explanation of his proposal.

      Delete
    5. @2:52 I get the concept of tariffs, but this is not the infamous chicken tariffs. It's a widespread tariff on all goods from China. Incentivizing domestic manufacturers makes sense for goods already produced domestically, but there are many goods that are not produced domestically and make no economic sense to produce domestically. Those goods will simply cost much more. The rich can absorb the price increases, but for most people it will cause life changing inflation.

      Delete
    6. @ 1:04 "typical MAGA responses are usually full of hate", really? In NYC a man was beaten and sent to the hospital because he was wearing a MAGA hat, in large cities in CA any Trump supporters wouldn't dare wear MAGA hats, put MAGA bumper stickers on autos, MAGA sign on front lawn, fly MAGA flag without some sort of property damages or personal injuries; ever see people get attacked with Biden / Harris signs etc? No. Better rethink on who's hateful

      Delete
    7. @ 8:53 & 4:00 You're both wrong on tariffs, it's a tool to balance trade deficits; Trump understands this better than any of his predecessors, can't sustain trade deficits, only makes China and others rich and richer, cost more from China with tariffs? Buy American then

      Delete
    8. @12:57 Trump imposed tariffs on China in his first term, but those tariffs were on specific goods. Now he wants widespread tariffs on all goods. Buying American sounds good, but many goods are not produced in America, so you have no choice of buying American. That's the troublesome part of his proposed tariffs.

You obviously don't know the difference between lawful immigration and an illegal invasion? This invasion comes at a cost. On the backs of hardworking, taxpaying Americans. There is no such thing a free lunch. Nor should there be. Those whom have violated our laws should be held accountable, starting with the body politic. How about indemnity for those who have incurred loss. I.e. property or loss of life as a result of this unlawful invasion? Simple. Migrate, Assimilate and Contribute.
