The Official DEATH of KNBR/Cumulus SF is Now Here; I Say My Peace

  1. The death of all old school media is finally here. Can't believe it took this long. New streaming media is here and will not be stopped. The truth is what people want.

  2. Nobody's to blame. It's the evolution of radio. If you're not streaming, you won't survive.

  4. Another reason why we Don't need AM radio in the car anymore.
Even alarm clock radios sold at Walmart omit the AM radio band.
    FM or alarm only.
    Broadcasters did it to themselves.
Shit shows & nothing on AM

  5. Much ado about nothing.
Murphy, Tolbert, Papa, Copes, made KNBR unlistenable. They got paid good money to put on shows - the ratings said “up your game”, but these weak links doubled down on babbling.
As if I need to hear about someone’s fantasy league performance!! And “# 2 in the B gap, Omaha”. Pure bullshit.
My 2 year old sounds better and has more meaningful content in her chatting than the entire KNBR staff.

  6. @8:47 Agree 100%. KNBR used to be the gold standard and they managed to absolutely ruin it. For me, it started when they pushed Gary out for Papa. All downhill from there.

  7. You know it’s over when they start bringing in the spawn of hosts to “co-host” other shows. Is it now part of hosts’ contracts to bring in their kids to pretend they are hosts?
