Another Bay Area REPUDIATION of BOTH SF All-Sports stations.
*KNBR? Ouch!
*95.7 FM, "The Game"--double ouch! (again below 1.0)*KCBS: it's good to be a monopoly.
*KGO: slightly better but still overall poor.
*Star 101: good, that new suit takes shape.
*KSFO: sale rumors persist.
WOW!!! KOIT has really fallen from an 11 to a 6!!
ReplyDeleteLIVE 105 popped just a bit.
KNBR 2, didn't even make a blip!!
They must have left off KFOG
KOIT fell from an 11 to a 6 because that 11 was while they were playing Christmas music in late November and December, what's called the "Holiday book". Atypical listening patterns, nobody uses that book to buy or price ad time, except as it applies to next year's holiday season.
DeleteWithout Bay Area broadcasting legends, what do they expect? Also moving radio 📻 to paid streaming services is causing a disruption
ReplyDelete95.7 to become the land of fox radio or joe cordell 10 hour seminars on california divorce laws
ReplyDeleteThose 10 hour seminars could really help Willard

Rich, accurate AF
ReplyDeleteYawn...
ReplyDeleteThis again proves how "weird" radio is in the SF Bay Area compared to every other major market. #1 is public radio and #2 is all news - no other market is even remotely like that.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that the big "media" companies try to program the same way here that they do everyplace else in their empire, and they get their lunch handed to them.
Unfortunately, at this point, the die is cast and too many people have abandoned radio or died. The same will happen with Audacy and the other radio conglomerates.
KSFO makes money and has no programming staff overhead. There's no reason to sell it.
ReplyDeleteHey Mark Willard and Dibs, What are you doing?! No one knows because few listen.
ReplyDeletecopes took over as tom was gone.copes didn't have to let tom take over.but Kurtenbach mumble was there.
