Smith, a decent street reporter and who is both beloved and RESPECTED in the newsroom, didn't shock the building with her exit. But her exit nonetheless has left a gaping hole in the reporter dept. She didn't give a reason as to why she's leaving but she told close friends the existing tension in the station's newsroom is a KEY REASON. Smith's departure will be the beginning of MORE TO COME.
UPDATE: 7: 09 PM: Another star reporter, Debra Villalon, is set to LEAVE. The EXODUS is beginning in full force.

Its sad Azenith Smith is leaving KTVU. Looks like FOX 2 is soon becoming a “dumpster fire”...
ReplyDeleteSoon?! I think it's been upgraded to a three alarm blaze with the neighboring buildings now aflame.
DeleteWow. I don't know if I ever remember this many people leaving a station in such a short time like it's happening at KTVU these past 2 months or so. If I had this much attrition and I were in charge I'd expect a demotion. Kind of brings credence to the crappy boss theory we keep hearing about. Well now at least they don't have to work for crappy FOX inc anymore. That's getting more embarrassing by the day I'd guess.
ReplyDeleteDeb is great. That's a big loss. She knows the bay area so well. KTVU is really falling fast.
ReplyDeleteYes, she's ripe for retirement. A class act, she is. Missed, she will be.
DeleteI can think of WAY sadder things....
ReplyDeleteNo loss at all too me.
ReplyDelete♫ Its a long way to Tipperary ... I wonder who is going to turn out the lights. ♫
