  2. Still prefer Donna Summer's version at the 1999 MLB All-Star game...

  3. Went on utube and listened to Donna Summer, she was good, but I stand by my comments at 10:05 am, no one comes close to Whitney. If you go on U tube and listen to her, and read the comments you will see many agree with me. However, we all have different taste, that's why the make chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

    1. And you should stand by your comments. Everybody wins this one!

    2. When one tries to compare talent, it is often the same as comparing nature, it for the most part is not possible and there is no right or wrong, just a difference. Who can say that Yosemite is more majestic than Grand Canyon, impossible, same with talent. Who is better Mozart or Beethoven? So you are right everyone wins. I was in my early twenties when the Richard Harris version of MacArthur Park came out, usually I prefer original versions, but I think Donna Summer's version is better.

  4. Both Whitney and Dionne Warrick are from the same family. Amazing talent. I'm guessing Whitney made much more money than her Aunt Dionne when at the top of her game. For one thing, when Whitney was young and healthy, she was very attractive. Dionne was always elegant, but just not as telegenic as her younger Niece. Life ain't always fair. Plus, in Dionne's Hey Day, it was a very rare event for a black person to star in any cross over, big budget movie. All that had changed by the time Whitney was ready to do "The Bodyguard.
Guess who else high profile is related to Dionne's family?
Retired Opera Mezzo Soprano, Leontyne Price!!!! Yes, it's true.
