KPIX's Paul Deanno's Perfect Take on Overall Weather and Smoke-Filled Skies; Sunday Nosh

Paul Deanno

NOW MORE THAN EVER, I'm a Paul Deanno guy. This KPIX personality is more than a meteorologist --really an all-around information sensation (that sounds right) and someone who should be high up the KPIX5 totem pole if he isn't already.

Deanno got it right on Friday with a prediction that the heatwave would wane off a bit, especially on the coast on Sunday (today).

It was right on.

Related imageIt was also a stark picture outside late Saturday and Sunday as the combination smoke and ash from the wildfires up north made for breathtaking images over the immediate Bay Area. I heard Deanno say on KCBS that the sky looked like a scene from planet Jupitar.

I concur.

As I drove up the Laurel district in Oakland last night just before dusk looking west toward the horizon I thought the only thing missing were the locusts. Talk about surreal.

OFF MATTERS:

It should be an interesting week starting tomorrow --a Monday that could trigger several developments.
