Image result for Sexy woman asking teacher questionsANSWERING your Bay Area TV/Radio Questions...please, name and town.

  1. How come you never mention other Kron4 reporters....i.e. Rob Fladabou, Gabe Slate, Hermela Aregawi, Rob Black, Jeff Pierce, Ella Sogomonian, Hermela Aregawi, Will Tran, etc.??

It seems you only discuss Radnich, Aveson, Moore, etc.

  2. Seems like you gripe a lot about Dion Lim (who I don't mind), but what about Alyana Gomez on KTVU? She always seems bored or uninterested when reading the news. She has this perennial sleepy eyed look.

  6. An electric train is moving north at 100mph and a wind is blowing to the west at 10mph. Which way does the smoke blow?

  7. Hey Rich,

What is your opinion of the Gruden hiring?

    1. Mark Davis needs a star to sell tix in Vegas and still thinks Gruden has it...we'll see. Gruden might be better on TV than on the field. Desperation move.

  8. What do you think of that guy who "covers" radio for the SF Chronicle? To me, he's superficial at best and is more concerned about using the pronoun "I" as much as possible in his columns.

  9. Limbaugh and Prager beating Owens? Yow. Rush and Dennis are syndicated alt-righters. I fear for our region if they're the "winners" in that time slot. I have long wondered how those same two stations - 860 and 560 - manage to run the right-wing dreck they do at night: Hannity, Beck (until recently), Walsh, Red Eye radio. In the Bay Area? What the heck is going on? Armstrong & Getty on KGO are horrid, with their right-wingish junk (which they pull back just in time, most of the time), in the morning. So after checking news at the top of the hour on KGO or KCBS, I sit down and call up WCPT in Chicago. Stephanie Miller -who is far left, I know, I know - is on that station. Gotta find some relief from the Trump backside kissers on local radio.

    1. If Limbaugh and Prager are beating Ronn, that tells me there are changes going on within the market itself. My wife just told me Dave Ramsey is now heard on KSFO mornings which got my attention because you can't promote or really practice what he teaches in a place this expensive...or so I thought.

We're beginning to see some changes. The free or nearly free flow of money to local non profits is drying up. You can feel it. Why? The tax bill. Deduction for those monster state taxes isn't gone but almost. No more deducting interest for home equity loans. No more deducting mortgage interest for homes costing $1M or more.

    2. Good lord 3:36. You've got your nose so far up Pelosi's ass I don't know where she ends and you begin.

    3. If you look at the numbers, the Bay Area audience that was listening to KGO is listening "bigly" to KQED which has staggeringly high ratings. Cumulus shitheads kept their eye on the small slice of the market shared by right-wing talkers, because that's what they do in medium markets, but the audience is hungry for news/talk especially in the Trump era.

    4. To put a finer point on it, in the December "beauty contest" numbers, KSFO's 3.0 plus KNBR's 2.4 plus KGO's 2.1 add up to 7.5. KQED *alone* has a 7.7 share, and if you added in KALW's 0.5 (since they air some of the same NPR shows like Morning Edition, Fresh Air and All Things Considered), that would be an 8.2 share. Even if you could add in KTRB/860's share (which isn't published), you're barely approaching a similar listenership to what KQED alone pulls in.

  11. Observation/comment for L-2,
I'm in Nevada today (Sunday) and noticed there's no local TV news until 5 pm today. Too bad for me if I should happen to be awake at 4 am and want to see & hear what's going on in the Reno, NV area. I suppose there's always internet and radio.
