Real 'Circle 7' All-Stars; KGO-TV, Circa 1988; Anna Chavez Reprise

This is ancient history now --take a look back over three decades ago when the Circle7 gang was a Bay Area News Anchors All-Star Mecca, --(minus the King, Van Amburg)

The late, great Pete Wilson; Anna Chavez; talk about luminaries.

In case you missed the story about Chavez, it's worth another look.

  1. I wonder how many who posted a response 4 years ago regret the smack they put down after what has gone one this autumn.

  2. Interesting story about Chavez. I went to the local police about an online stalker which included a threat on my life, and they told me "We don't take reports of internet crime." Reported it also on an FBI internet crime website and I'm still waiting for them to get in touch with me. That was four years ago. You're pretty much on your own.

Additionally, there was another hard-to-describe incident involving internet eavesdropping with a San Francisco DJ who also threatened my life at one point, and repeatedly inferred I was a "bitch." I've never met the guy. I called him up one time and requested "Misty" and, funny, but he gave the same reasons Chavez did for leaving his job.

  4. They always seemed like they were a team a lot longer than they actually were (about 3 years).

Anyone know why Pete jumped to KRON so quickly given how good the ratings were for him and Anna?

  5. Am I the only person who had a crush on Anna Chavez?

    1. Probably not. She was a nice looking woman, and those short hairdos worked well for her. She was a good anchor, too.

  7. I had a class with Anna at San Jose State. She wanted nothing to do with anybody. Would run off after class to a waiting car. Kind of an odd girl, really.
