Don't Blame Wofford on KRON Crap; Major Changes Coming to the 'The Game'; Mike Shumann Buys Entire KGO Crew Catered Thanksgiving Meal; Sze and Zouves Still Fire and Ice; Tuesday PM Talking Points

*So the female attention whore in the morning on KRON who is about as worthy as a coffee break in Death Valley in the summer, chose to giggle-giggle about whether a very successful Black businessman could potentially buy an NFL franchise. Her partner got all the bad press but it was Countess Darya that egged him on.

She's only there because she lives with the News Director. He's a mean, angry, hostile buffoon too and she is an irrelevant sycophant who is an embarrassment to KRON if you can say such a thing about KRON without laughing.

*Major, major changes are coming to 95.7 FM (All Sports) "The Game", which hasn't been able to move the needle in almost seven years; namely, a morning show disaster that is probably done come the first of the year; a slightly worthy Damon Bruce being tweaked (I think) in the afternoon; Bruce is getting creamed by KNBR's Tom Tolbert. I like Damon for the most part but numbers don't lie; The Game, with a new PD, also is shouldered with two clients that, A. one's a lame-ducker: the Oakland/soon-to-be Vegas (in a year or two or three) Raiders and an Oakland A's that no one gives a damn about; the Warriors? That's about it. Unfortunately, the Dubs don't pay the bills.

*Oh, and Greg Papa has a lot on his plate too.

*Mike Shumann bought the entire KGO-TV crew a catered Thanksgiving gourmet meal --too bad the station didn't do anything but hey, Disney is busy feeding Rupert, I guess.

*More KGO/Circle7 fire and ice: on this (Tuesday morning's 11 AM newscast I'm told the fire-and-ice duo (Kristen Sze and Natasha Zouves) were full court front and center. All that was missing was an ice rink separating the two.

  1. From L-2, regarding KGO's Sze and Zouvas, this is TV. No matter how one feels about an on-aire co-worker, stow it, leave it off the air and be professional. I didn't see the entire 11:00 a.m. broadcast but what little I saw, I didn't see anything negative.

    1. From L-2, spelling correction, above: it's Zouves, not Zouvas, as I earlier typed.

One must assume you're suit-proof, Rich.

  3. They both suck at their jobs, Dump them both I say. Their lack of professionalism has gone on long enough. People need to understand that were ALL expendable.

  4. Folsom, Woffard and presumably "Daddy Pero" are all in the soup over this mess.
    Apology issued...

  7. Lost in the kerfluffle over Henry's statement was the fact that Fatnich wasn't on the air that day. Hooray for small favors.

  8. I will back up Kristen Sze, of course, someone took your morning job that will one day give you a 100% to become an evening news anchor, it is normal for this person to get upset over the person stealing your job. Also, Zouves is overrated and no even qualify to serve as a morning news anchor with poor experience, over acting and nothing. Jessica Castro fits this job 200%.

  9. Very classy of Shumann to treat the staff to that free holiday dinner. So where were you, DISNEY MANAGEMENT!!!??? Like you don't make a big enough profit with your "License To Steal"?? Shame on you.

  10. I had to laugh at Darya's apology where she stated that in her 19 years she has always acted professionally. I guess she forgot the time she planked on the anchor desk, the time she had a banana eating costs or the time she wore Mad Bum underwear on the air. Not to mention her ear popping laugh and over the top fawning over in studio guests.

  11. Sports radio is on a death spiral. Its going to implode and I'm just going to let it die. Blame the executives, its on them, they created it.

  12. KGMZ will become CBS Sports Radio most likely and here comes Jim Rome and Ferrall added to the schedule...ratings improve little by little!!

    1. I hope not. I prefer coverage of local teams and don't care for national coverage.

  13. We'll see if your prediction pans out, but you've predicted major changes to KGMZ before and nothing happened. Let's get real though. The only numbers that really matter are morning and afternoon drive. KGMZ should either move Damon to mornings or wave the white flag and run national syndication in the mornings. Or just get rid of Lorenzo, whose daily struggle with the english language, and clear stutter, is too painful to listen to.

No one cares about 10am -2pm. Even if Papa beats Fitz/Brooks, that's like saying a college professor beat a 3rd grader. As for afternoon drive, Bruce will never win that battle as long as Tolbert is one air, even if Tom has to carry the albatross that is John Lund. It also doesn't help KGMZ when the recycle so much of their content and spend 50% of their air time slobbering all over the Warriors. As much as getting the Dubs should've helped KGMZ, it's actually hurt them, in my opinion. The endless tongue-bathing of the W's turned my completely off the station. Love live satellite radio.

  14. I like the Game morning show, way more then the morning show on KNBR, which I have not listen to for a couple of years. Not a lover of Tolbert or Damon in the afternoon, will go to Damon first and if he gets redundant or way off sports or on his white horse , will listen to Tolbert, but Tolbert partner is hideous and both have way to many dumb laughs on the show.

  15. Tolbert and his partner hardly ever talk about sports anymore. It's just continual dumb-yuk-beer-sex bro talk. It seems like all talk radio is going that route now (see KGO). I was a listener all the way back to the Scottie Sterling days, but I just can't listen to SportsTalk drivetime anymore.
