I finally heard a few seconds of the new guy (not Frandsen) and began to seriously almost lose it.Mind you, I don't listen very much to that station anymore and when I do it's only to have reactions like the one guy to your left.
Remember, you get what you pay for.
In the meantime...stay cool.
I thought the crappy guy with the deep voice on KNBR was Dr Lawrence Krueger playing the butt trumpet. Br-br-br-br-Breet!!!

ReplyDeleteI miss Ray just as much as the next guy, and yes Frandsen is hard to listen to and needs to humble down but Drew is not bad, sounds like he gets radio and how to control the hour, as does Ryan Covay although he needs to slow way down. I'm all for giving these young guys a shot at night, it seems as if they are not over 40 you won't give them a chance Rich. They have a passion for this business as we did in our day and these days that's saying a lot. These moves honestly are refreshing, I'd rather have local content going into the night at 1am over syndicated content. Can't knock that move.
ReplyDeleteThe other day I swear I heard Frandsen say loudly, "WILL YOU LET ME FINISH" to Drew on a count/counter point argument. You could tell there was a "Wtf" in Drew's voice when that happened but he handled it well enough. They couldn't get anyone but Kevin Frandsen?
