Savage Attack Post Mortem; 415 Media Gets Scoop; Thanks TMZ; Boo Chronicle; 'Tolerant' Bay Area? Not So Fast

Image result for Michael Savage restaurant attack SO, HOW WAS YOUR DAY?

I've been running around and writing and talking. Good exercise. But I'm exhausted. Whoa, what a crazy day it was. Whirlwind activity. Non-stop observing and a whole lot of reflection. Just catching my breath. Tough life, kid.

Well, I assume you know the syndicated Bay Area radio talk host, Michael Savage, was harassed and attacked in Marin the other night.

OK, bragging right dept, you saw it here first, and thanks TMZ for crediting 415 Media. You too, Gateway Pundit, --Mercury News,-- Daily Wire have I left anyone out?

On the other hand, a big BOO! to the SF Chronicle --which got the Savage story early and was hesitant to run it but eventually had to because the whole world reported it. Naturally the Chron didn't credit this site because its editor hates bloggers. By the way, in case you don't know, the Chronicle is an alleged newspaper that is lately more fixated on real estate pictures and man-eats-dog stories. Jason Robards was right.

Oh, forgot, thanks Glenn Beck too.

Bay Area TV/Radio was just as lazy and pathetic as print and digital. Savage's misfortune got scant attention --I saw a brief story on KRON and some mentions on the local channels. It was a big story regardless of how you feel about Michael Savage. I mean, it's not every day a 74 year-old man with his dog out on the town gets physically attacked and assaulted by some goofball lunatic. And here I thought Marin was so mellow and tolerant.

Speaking of such the Savage incident illustrates the FRAUD that is the perception that the Bay Area is a land of tolerance but only if you identity yourself as left, "progressive", forward-leaning--less that, you're fair game for violent knuckleheads and tough luck if you get attacked and thrown to the ground while your poodle gets kicked.

Tolerance? Really now.

  2. When shall issue concealed carry comes - when it becomes public knowledge that Uncle Jerry can't stop it - everyone reading this should get one. An armed society is a polite society.

  5. Savage got lots of play in Socal...where they really are more tolerant (don't give a shit) I'm embarrassed to admit I'm a BA native (OAK Providence baby) now I see how the BA folks still act.

    1. The reality is if you ask random people in the BA, 80% or more will say they are not from here. My family has been in SF and environs since the 1890's, when I grew up in the '70's most everyone was from here, there was a shared sense of place, history, and an outlook that leaned toward progressive, but anchored and tempered by generational tradition.
There are a few natives left here but the huge influx of newcomers forever changed that old BA landscape. So when people throw out meaningless phrases like "Bay Area liberal", they should take a look in the mirror because you or the ones you're accusing are most likely not from here.

    2. @5:06, but isn't that any large metro area with jobs? People come for jobs and the area changes. I'd rather have the jobs. And by the way, my dad's family has been in Bay Area since late 1880s too. San Francisco and Sebastapol. My mom's since the 1920s. Me, Redwood City for first 25 years, Fremont for the last 30. I'm a Democrat, but one of my first political memories is my mom taking us to a Pete McCloskey/John Tunney neighborhood gathering when I was nine. Those are the days when Republicans and Democrats could work together.

I don't get on this blog why I read neo-cons bashing Bay Area liberals, but I don't read as much neo-con bashing as I see on even more political sites.

    3. ..having similar thoughts today regarding changing relationships between the political factons. I saw that former state A.G. John Van de Kamp had passed away. Considered a liberal democrat in his day. Stunning to recall a 'different' political climate. He was universally respected. Perhaps a more vigorous two-party system is a healthier way to go?

  6. Nothing is more intolerant than a Bay Area liberal.

In other news, the morning frat boys on The Commercials Leader ACTUALLY TALKED ABOUT HOCKEY this morning! I was shocked--had to pull over on I-80.

    1. Glad they gave some attention to hockey. The last time I heard Murphy talk about hockey, it was evident that he knows very little about the sport.

      What a remarkably intolerant statement.

  7. What is the name of the intolerant Troglodyte who assaulted Mike, and where is this clowns'
    face photo?

Mike, be aware that We of the Tea Party are saying prayers for your safety and peace of mind. This New Normal for Bay Area conservatives is being talked about.

  8. @rootvg Can you develop that thought - why can't UJ stop it? Inquiring minds want to know...and agree:
"An armed society is a polite society." Cheers!

  9. PIX's story on the attack was brief, dubious, and delivered well into the newscast.

  10. Rich, thanks for pointing out the worst-kept secret of the Bay Area: that the overwhelming majority of liberals here are hate-filled, intolerant hypocrites. I think back to last year's Trump rally in San Jose, when innocent and peaceful Trumpsters were viciously attacked by a mob of Leftist savages. 'Nuff said.

  12. This story made me gasp when I first read about it. I don't understand why news outlets won't print the news. Seems very basic. Congrats to Rich for being on the forefront.

I'm no Savage fan but I'll agree 100% to that. "Progressives" are as intolerant as the Limbots.

  14. So nice to see some logical responses for a change. Anyone who's intellectually honest with him/herself has no choice but agree that liberals are the least tolerant bunch.
Unless you walk lockstep with them, they hate and vilify and attack and attempt to silence. They are the antithesis of live and let live.

  15. Typical Rich -- supporting hate. Spews hate, and supports it from conservatives who love all the cover they now get with Dump in the White House.

Right. More like every other day.

But don't break your arm patting yourself on the back for this big, YUGE story!!!

  17. Lots of speculation here, siding with Weiner, no big surprise I guess. How do we know that Weiner wasn't the instigator? Cops cited both of them?
