KGO-TV (ABC7) has a new Executive Producer--Brandon Behle --who just so happens to be the husband of KPIX anchor, Elizabeth Cook ( Coincidence? Perhaps, you be the judge)
To which my media sage reacts: "Gotta love this incestuous business."
By the way, Behle replaces Bob Goldberger, who left to join KNTV (NBC Bay Area)
415 Media/Shop talk...
Isn't his father-in-law a big wig at ABC?
ReplyDeleteGot it.
Veronica de la Vergara has got to be counting the days till Liz slides over to KGO to replace Cheryl "botox" Jennings.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Jennings supposed to have retired?

ReplyDeleteAll business are incestuous. ... To ascend in this realm or any other, is to master a exclusive value creation (and/or value-added) skill that no one can acquire easily. ...
It is surprise Liz Cook never went to KGO 7 as a permanent evening news anchor? She will be better off being a morning anchor.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought Liz Cook should be a morning anchor. That's a perfect fit. Evenings seem too forced for her and she doesnt seem to have the journalistic chops it takes Maybe an anchor re shuffle might be in the works since the morning show needs a re boot.
ReplyDeleteThere may be some parent responsibility issues that influence the work schedule for both Liz and Brandon.
DeleteBoth of them are CLASS people -- genuinely nice, sweet, and good at their jobs. The biz may be full of nepotism and favors, but these two deserve everything they earn.
