From left, Raj Mathai, Peggy Bunker, Janelle Yang and Terry McSweeney |
They're all putting up a happy face but behind the scenes at KNTV (NBC Bay Area) they're all at one another's throat pushing to be the #1 anchor.
No one believes in Raj.
We have the goods.

I vote for Janelle!!!
ReplyDeleteAre there any journalists who use social media to - you know - TELL people about stuff or is it mostly just selfies that weirdos can use for - um - "inspiration." Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI vote for Terry McSweeney and Peggy bunker as a team. Don't knows if Peggy Bunker wants to work all week though. She has kids.
ReplyDeleteTerry McSweeney is incredibly underrated. If he shows a little more confident body language and a little less halting in the delivery he is the next Doug Moore. The core SJ base of viewers knows and trusts Terry, though he's probably quite content with the nice gig he has now.
ReplyDeleteTV news has sadly become more and more cheap 'entertainment' so the consultants can help companies "get more eyeballs" to watch the shows. Whatever happened to responsible broadcast journalism? It disappeared in the mid 1990s when Clinton signed the bill that deregulated the media. Disaster ensued.
ReplyDeleteSee? That just proves any color, male or female can be hired to do TV in 2016.
ReplyDeleteJust as long as they aren't ugly.
Rich, thanks to your coverage of Heather Holmes, I find myself watching her more. She is definitely the "hottest" or sexiest anchor in the Bay Area. Truly, classic Fox material. Bear in mind there are much hotter women in LA and nationally, but here in the BA, it is the best that we have.
ReplyDeleteKnowing McSweeney, he is definitely NOT "pushing" to be the #1 anchor. Dude is a consummate pro who would never jockey for a position which would affect a co-worker.
ReplyDeleteJanelle Wang is so hot. God her old man of a husband is lucky.
