We attended the NBA Finals in Oakland at Oracle Arena and got to roam around the various press centers. Over a thousand media reps were credentialed to cover the Warriors-Cavs spectacle. Among the highlights ...good, bad, and indifferent.
NOTES...The local presence brought out the usual suspects. KGO-TV's Larry Beil and Mike Shumann were going non-stop. Of course, ABC is covering the Finals and KGO is ABC's O and O station in the Bay Area. ...ESPN's peripatetic and occasionally moody, Stephen A. Smith roamed the arena media center with his smart phone in hand. SAS looks a little too busy. Smith and fellow actor, Skip Bayless are part of ESPN's 'First Take' program which is broadcasting live this week from the Lake Chalet in Oakland... Other ESPNers at the Arena: Michael Wilbon. Jason Whitlock. From CBS Radio, West Coast mega correspondent, Steve Futterman.
We'll talk more later.
Who gives a shit about the bay area sports media homers. I got to meet Rihanna at the game, and got a hug. She is prettier, taller and thinner in person.
ReplyDeleteCareful, you don't know where that's been.
Delete@8:16 Cool story bro, want a cookie? Translation: Who gives a fuck.
Deleteinteresting-she arrived late but had time to hang out with you? Were you at the Cavs locker room when she kept yelling "LEBRON! LEBRON! LEBRON?"
