ReplyDeleteDave Clark does what he's hired to do, which is read the news. He does so in a professional, straightforward manner and without the idiocy found among far too many on broadcast news in the U.S.

DeleteNot really breaking news with they had the real names on their website a couple of days before the fake names. Big gaffee on everyone's part, including Tori, who didn't stop to say "Wait a minute..."

Deletesoon as "Sum Ting Wong" rolls off your lips, you STOP. I f she had stopped,
other folks would not have lost their jobs. You have to call Tori's character into question when she remains silent and unscathed when others were
being fired. At the very least, she should have told management to give her a few weeks suspension to make it appear she was part of the team. Instead, we all know she is the only member of Team Tori.
With or without the faux pas, she's been around forever - including on the KGO radio news before she joined Channel 2 - how she's lasted this long, is a wonder - no personality for radio or tv.

ReplyDeleteEver since Tori Campbell read the pilots' "names," I rarely watch Channel 2 news. Her lack of professionalism transferred to a lack of credibility with me.
ReplyDeleteI would dearly like to see Mike Mibach and Pam Cook host the AM news. Used to love C Wong but she's gone all chirpy since KTVU went happy talk. Makes me sad because Wong is a terrific reporter. Always thought Cook undervalued. She's perfect for the morning. Mibach is a great reporter and anchor and he'd be great with Cook. Now I only watch KTVU for Sal and the weather team. Otherwise KGO or cable news.
