One Big Happy Family at KPIX

Martin, Veronica De La Cruz and Deanno
Paul Deanno can't stand Veronica De La Cruz on KPIX Hardly looks at her--so goes the story from my Battery spy. I think, among other things, it has a lot to do with her constant hair touching. Supposedly she can't stop texting and facebooking either--From the News Desk!! While on the air!!

Then there's this continuing non-admiration story: Allen Martin still has no use for Elizabeth Cook. (Can you see the love look on his face?)

I think it's high time for a beer summit at Grumpy's.

  1. Sounds like there are no high fives, and a battery of problems, at 855.

  2. Sounds to me like Pix men can't work with women.

    1. Exactly! Sounds like Paul and Allen need to grow up and learn to work with Veronica and Elizabeth. We all deal with people at our jobs that we don't like. Funny how the women are portrayed as the bad guys - Sounds like KPIX is filled with a bunch of misogynists!

  3. No Elizabeth Cook on Monday; no Elizabeth Cook on Tuesday.

This may be a good week.

  4. Yeah,I see if you put Raj with Veronica you could have a hipster winner. Or Elizabeth with Wayne, mild mannerism galore..complimentary.
There ya go..A topic. What would be the best pairings/who would you want to see together if you could cross channel anchors?
    Ah,the clean versions.

  5. Better Liz than VLDC...If VLDC is on, I'm off to a different news broadcast. Game Off!

    1. Totally agree. I don't actually mind "newsbeat" because the time is convenient, but when VD is on, I have to tune off. If it's Liz, she's better suited to the lightness of that cast. VD has an intensity about her delivery I just can't invite into my home.

  6. This reminds me of an Issac Hayes song called "One Big Unhappy Family", proving Tolstoy's theory about each family being unhappy in their own way.

  7. I'm sorry but nobody cares. Read the telepromter and your own business.

  8. Feel sorry for these anchors, why??? their all making big money to sit in front of a camera and read their news reports. We all work with people we don't like, but those of us who are professional, just do our jobs. Plain and simple. They ALL need to grow up, or they may just find themselves out of a job. I'm tired of hearing about these anchors and their hate.

    1. You'd think they'd have enough sense to realize that, but apparently a few of them don't.

  10. Let me go into detail on my thought. You really have to pair up anchors like an arranged marriage. I've seen Bastida make the proverbial funny little remarks that got crickets from Veronica and Liz Cook. He's twice their age. Now,if he was doing the news with Cheryl Jennings? She laughs and its like down home country.
That's how the very best pairings come off.
Who's Alicia and who's Pam? they both treat the guy exactly the same.
Frank and Julie..its like they have matching coffee cups with "Frank and Julie's" on it. That's the feeling they give off.
Just the way it is no matter how much they deny it.

  11. Ah, once summer hits and Elizabeth and VDLC start wearing more low-cut blouses the ratings will go back up.
