We bring you an item about the lovely Channel 4 people supposedly involved in some enterprising news.
KRON is shooting a pilot for a reality show gauged around their video journalists out in the field, including Stanley Roberts, who you all know from his "people behaving badly" segments.
They're such a joke that they're taking their newscast one step further with a reality show. That's right.
Wonderful.
Roberts has had a cameraman following him around at his various shoots for the project. Other reporters too.
Can hardly wait to see this. Hopefully it's some joke. But I don't think so.
Can't wait to see the Darya in a bikini at the beach footage.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it could be a twist on "Breaking Greenville" on truTV which is a reality series about two competing TV stations in a very small market.
ReplyDeleteOur former ch. 11 Weather guy, Steve Schill, does indeed 'star' in a reality show about his current station, in Mississippi. He says doing the show is a real kick, and he's enjoying hearing from old acquaintances. Here's a link to the show, in case you're interested. (no, I'm not Steve or one of his relatives, but did work with him for a time)

This must have been one of those "ideas to make money" that the new boss lady demanded from workers.
ReplyDeleteThat is precisely what it sounds like, an idea that came up during someone's after dinner drink session. Millenial heaven.
DeleteSo we are about to be served up more of the annoying and smug Stanley Roberts? Great. By the way, when will KGO have had enough playing that Ed Baxter spot' Doing his best to sound 'outraged' about Government bureaucracy, 'Those. People. Work. For. Us. DAMMNIT!!!"
ReplyDeleteTwo excellent points! I always felt that Stanley Roberts was nothing more than a bully with a camera. As for the "outraged" Ed Baxter spot, it sounds like he's reading it off a script.
DeleteI think I can say Stanley is a fan of Stan('s blog). He's posted on my blog. I'm sure he will get flack for me saying that.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why Stanley has never gotten a tip for speeders in Danville or Pac Heights to Atherton and -say this with a dripping royal accent- Bel-ve-dere.
At least for a change of venue. Ya know, catch they wealthy who love to let their dogs and cats crap on their neighbors lawn.
Like that..
As far as make more money? I'm sure KRON's boss expected more when she sent Radnich and his family to spring training then daily 6,9,and 11pm showings of him playing catch with his little boy. It's the very same clip repeated over and over too. Like he did one minute and said "Enough, lets get outta here"..lol Why was he wearing that pink glove?
ReplyDeleteHe talked to Bochy..but,pretty much that's the effort? He really hates at his age that he has to talk to millionaire 19 year olds. I doubt he ever says please in his life, let alone to a rich kid.
Hey "Stan TheObserver", enough of this Radnich crap already. You've obviously got a big thing for Radnich but believe me, nobody cares.
DeleteI wish KTVU had done that back in the day. I would have loved it if the cameras had followed Leslie Griffith around!
ReplyDeleteThe actor that plays former wx guy Steve Shill (KNTV) on Breaking Greenville is a riot!
ReplyDeleteThis is mainly to make sure they get footage when they get held up in the East Bay again - and have a spare camera.
ReplyDeleteThey are not shooting a reality show, the people following Stanley and the others are 'Job Shadowing"...
ReplyDeleteJust the new future Kronvicts in in training.
I heard that they were goning to re-launch Bay-TV
I'd love to see a "behind the scenes" with Pero and Darya.
ReplyDeleteReality bites.
