Michael Savage's 'Alice in Chains', Man In The Box Metaphor For The Big Guy

This is Alice in Chains 'Man in The Box'--Michael Savage seems to have taken an interest in it and yes, I find that interesting, call me crazy. Now who's the man in the box? Enquiring minds want to know. Think Washington DC and you're close. I think.

  1. Is cabbage man floating the idea of running for office again? He does that every couple of years. In the end he backs off. He's like the other buffoon Trump who a couple of weeks ago said he MAY run for president. Yaaaawn.

  2. More registered Democrats are in boxes (prison cells) than registered Republicans. Truthbomb.

  3. It may be that Savage is referring to the President's isolation "in the box", seemingly ignoring what is going on in the world around him. ISIS beheadings and murders, burning people in cages in public, and other cruelties agains man are going on, yet we haven't stepped up in our usual leadership role to mobilize against them. In Iraq a few weeks ago, homosexuals were thrown off of rooftops or killed in front of crowds. If they didn't die, they were stoned to death. Other countries have laws where women can't drive or go to school beyond grammar school. Maybe he thinks that not mobilizing to fight this is unbecoming of a US President. This is all just a guess about what he's referring to.

    1. More beheadings in our ally Saudi Arabia. Where is your outrage? Oh yeah, we get oil from them.

  4. Layne Staley's lyrics were primarily about his struggle with drugs and how they were killing him, as they ultimately did. If Savage is seeing this, or twisting it, for politics is asinine.

  5. I was amazed to hear AIC's "man in the box" during the NFC finals in Seattle. Then, the Seahawks had the miracle comeback.
One thing I know is,there are plenty of middle aged people who think of that early 90's years Seattle sound the same way others see some long gone era of great music.
I think its a safe bet that AIC's original lineup would tell the Mike Savages of the world to give back the CD's for a full refund, and don't listen to our music.
Hmm,I think Pearl Jam told that to Mitt Romney's campaign.....

  7. Well, I take back some of what I said. It appears that Obama IS trying to mobilize some kind of insurgence. He's come "out of the box".

    1. He should worry less about getting out of the box, and more about getting out of the closet.
