    1. Anon at 7:04...KTVU in 2002 did massive layoffs which gutted the engineering and production crews. The suits decided they were willing to accept a degraded product in exchange for less payroll costs. Simple as that. It has been sliding since then, and with each successive cut, the mistakes make air faster and more frequently.
Your thought that Dennis Richmond had anything to do with anything g other than reading a prompter would be sort of cute if it wasn't so simple minded, naive and asinine.

    2. Thank you anonymous at 9:36... I was one of those massive layoff production crew members and this just goes to show exactly what you are talking about. The stations quality has nose dived and that is so sad... Just another way the stupid suits think that this is acceptable is beyond me.

  2. All of those years that KTVU broadcast the Giants games, and it has degenerated to this.

    1. ALDS stands for American League Division Series. The Giants played in the NLDS, or National League Division Series.

    2. 9:16AM, Don't feel bad. I didn't know what was wrong either. I kept staring. What am I supposed to be upset about again? A slight mishap in the layout.

  6. Perhaps they should stop outsourcing their computer graphics work to 12 year olds.

  10. Whoever runs their social media AND their graphics department should be fired. How many times do they get to screw up before they can get shown the door? The amount of mistakes they make on Twitter and Facebook is astounding. But this is just plain dumb and ignorant. You work at a TV station in the Bay Area surely some person you work with has talked about the Giants at some point. Hey, you know they won this thing called the World Series in 2010 and 2012 and channel 2 made a big deal about it. I think the new General Manager has found his first cost-saving measure.

  11. Did this air or was it online? Time?

I want to pull an air check to verify.

  12. Did you see Amy G. getting into the middle of the post game champagne-soaked clubhouse last night to ask her breathy, inane little girl questions again? Why do Ted Griggs and Larry Baer allow a joke such as Amy G. to be on a classy broadcast with the likes of Krukow, Kuiper and Miller? I bet those guys really shake their heads when they have to go down to her in the dugout during the game for those vapid, useless little segments that she does. I think the only people that probably enjoy Amy G's airhead personality are those losers who wear Panda and Giraffe hats to the games and call themselves fans. They would have been shown the door at Candlestick Park, that's for sure, as would have Amy G!

    1. At least Amy knows that the Giants are in the National League and play in West...

    2. Hate to say this 10:13, but it appears that she is here to stay. I suggest you do what many of us do, and keep your remote handy during Giants and CSNBA telecasts. When Amy G is on, the mute button is your friend!

  13. This is bad. No other way to describe it.
Where the hell are the editors? No quality control?

    1. Older editors like me are home and unemployed, despite sending out hundreds of resumes and willing to accept any job at any wage. Even The New York Times has typos on the front page.

  14. Yikes! That graphic is terrible. I can't believe nobody caught it before it went live. But again, it's KTVU. Hopefully Fox will handle things better. We'll see.

  15. The "ebola" graphic instead of "enterovirus" is much worse IMO. 10:04's comment about the tweets is dead on. One tweet was so devoid of meaning several of us asked them to explain what on earth they were trying to say.

  16. The Giants are champions of Lou Gehrig's disease?

  17. Does KTVU still own a piece of the Giants?
