Reported here first: Bay Area news personality Ama Daetz was officially named the permanent co-anchor for the 6 and 11 PM News for KGO-TV, alongside longtime circle7 anchor, Dan Ashley.
The move, formally announced to Channel 7 staff late Friday, was Daetz' to lose. According to my KGO sources, no one else was seriously considered; it also helped that Ashley and Daetz seemed to possess instant chemistry on the set.
Daetz moves from the weekend and will also continue to occasionally report from the field.

Great Rich, first person reporting something no one else would bother reporting!.
ReplyDeleteAma is so hot. It's all about the eye candy and she gives me cavities
ReplyDeleteGood I think she earned the spot. Good job Ama.
ReplyDeleteI like her. She's comfortable to watch, professional, and very easy on the eyes.
ReplyDeleteI am happy for her!
ReplyDeleteSo - who will do week-ends?
ReplyDeleteHer hair style has definitely tanked since the above photo was taken....it needs serious work - not attractive to be long, oily-looking, and drooping into her face.
ReplyDeleteWho will co-anchor the 4 PM hour? What about the 11 AM & 5 PM newscasts beginning next year?
