The Mysterious Ryan Chamberlain Story Gets More Murky--Maybe Some Investigative Reporters Will Go To Work

OK, so they caught the bad guy.

A bad guy we've been told had explosives in his SF apartment. For all we know they could have been firecrackers. We still don't know a whole lot about this mystery story. You would think, (I hope), that some of our celebrated Investigate Reporters would be at the HOJ right now trying to get some information.

We'd all like to know what the hell is going on.

  1. Really. Who is this guy? What did he supposedly do? They certainly brought out the heavy artillery and manpower in order to locate this guy.

  2. NBC's "Investigation" will only happen if its in a press release from the San Jose labor unions.

  3. Reminds me of the Olympic Park bomber in 1996. They arrested this guy as a "terrorist" and found all sorts of "bomb-making" materials in his garage: paint thinner, wires, rags, a can of nails...you know, the same stuff that's in everyone's garage. Oh, and let's not forget all the neighbors the "investigative media" interviewed. They said he "acted strange" and "was a loner." That's such a crime. Thoreau would have been given the death penalty I'm sure.

  4. Something's not right with this story......I think there's a lot we don't know (and I don't agree that "we" should know everything about everything that happens). It almost seems like the story was initially released because it was a slow news day, and now, everyone's scrambling to find some substance to it. Will be interesting to see if we ever know the "real real".

  5. Didn't they "capture" the guy at some trendy bar/cafe?

  6. hint: he left an online trail. In the heart of tech, we have no aspiring tech "journos" who can track it? Really. What a bunch of imposters.

  7. You're right. He left several clues. That's what led me here.
