  1. Actually seems like this song is more appropriate for Rich Lieberman given his wild mood swings and inconsistent behavior.

  2. I am still blowing chunks watching this! The Lieberman I-Team lands a big one.No words needed! Perfect headline, too! Great job, Rich. Maybe you can lend this to Mr. Zwerling at KSCO for the intro to "The Traffic Lackey" and "King of the Hill Traffic."

I hope Cumulus is passing out those Sweet Jack coupons for dinner, Sunday. I hear that Karel has to eat alone at Jack In The Box. LMFAO! Good job!

  3. Speaking of "Coming 2 Take Me Away (ha-ha!)....Have you heard about what's going on in the province of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada? There is a 24 y/o man, named JUSTIN BOURQUE who has killed at least three policemen since yesterday. Bourque has been walking around the area since yesterday. That city is on lockdown, simlimar as when the Boston Bombers were being sought. This guy is a gun enthusiast, as are many people, but, he is also become known online as being an extremist. They are still seeking him as of this writing. Oh, Canada, now it is your turn. If the more of our Canadian brothers were allowed to carry, this would likely already be over. Instead, they must retreat into their domiciles, like helpless, frightened lambs. I pray for their safety, so sorry about the Mounties who were just doing their jobs.

  4. I worked at KGO not too ago and am now at a different station in the market. I, like everyone else, was disgusted at what Cumulus did to KGO. My parents raised me on KGO and I was happy to have worked there. That being said, I cannot believe they are attempting to do an All-Star remote. This has the potential to absolutely blow up in their face. I still talk to a few people at KGO and they tell me everytime the promotions team goes out somewhere people harass them about everything related to the changes. Is the GM that dumb to put these "All-Stars" in front of listeners? This has the makings of a disaster. Unless of course they have planted all of the questions beforehand so that the normal people don't have a chance to give it to them in front of others. Actually, there probably won't be any normal people there. Just advertisers, friends of the station and the employees.

What a shame. How the mighty have fallen.

    1. A good post and thank you for your observations. I did hear Karel "in cue" last week say, "They didn't send me any topics, issues or questions that will be asked." Now that is yet another developing story.

Is the debate possibly rigged? Geez. PS - Why haven't they fired the likes of Karel, Renee Bakos, Mel Baker, Lynn Sloan, Susan Whynot and Chef Ryan? Anonymity spoken here ... Thanks again.

As to your question, Steve Sklenar has the answer. The answer will come out shortly. Kevin Crespo, too, has the answer. Ratings for the month and the 2nd quarter coming soon.

Also, any guess to a format flip from what you have heard?

Rigging the debate. I hadn't thought of that. Good post.

    2. Is that true that KGO could rig the debate?

    3. The GM is not putting the hosts in front of listeners. First, there are not many listeners left, second, no listener outside of downtown San Jose is going to travel to downtown San Jose for this farce. and third, no one is going to pay $8.10, plus fees, to attend.

If anyone shows up it will be people that KGO has bused in and coerced to attend with free food or money or liquor.

  5. 4:19, I am absolutely sure there will be protesters at the debate too, booing the station. I will be right there with them. I won't instigate anything, but I sure will chime in if it comes to booing. I'm still so upset over the bloodbath. I had been a KGO listener for 30+ years. What a loss.......

    1. You mean, you are actually paying $8.10 a ticket or $16.20 for a couple to what? Boo? Have you lost your mind? Why go? They don't care if you are there or not, nor will your booing do anything but annoy them. They will say that you are the reason they flipped formats, "to old, to passive and not deferential to younger audiences." You are really wasting money to do this? Really?

  7. Boy, does this ever bring back a few memories from the late 60's. One was of some particularly unpleasant downstairs neighbors who played awful "music" very loudly and weren't going to let my pleas to turn down the volume disrupt their pleasure. The B side of my 45 (remember those?) had it in reverse. So one Saturday morning I put it on the turntable and left the stack arm up to it would play repeatedly, cranked up the volume and left for about 36 hours. From then on they were kinder.
