Sarah and Vinnie Feuding; Armstrong and Getty Think They're God; Beil and Shumann Tension at KGO-TV; Tuesday Fight Reports

http://radioalice.cbslocal.com/show/sarah-and-vinnie/Sarah and Vinnie over at Alice 97.3(CBSFM) are having a big-time feud over the thing that mostly leads to big-time feuds: money. She is pulling in close to seven figures and he's making a lot less. So far, the dynamic SF Alice pair haven't taken their animosity to the air, (as no professionals would), but the feud is significant enough that that they hardly talk to one another and the anger card has been thrown and the dealer is contemplating their next move.

*The right-wing imbecile duo in Sacramento, "Armstrong and Getty", a pair of Midwest hacks with the humor quotient of an 8PM table of two at an Iowa strip mall Denny's, have been pumping their fake fists around the Clear Channel outpost in Sac Town. It's one thing to pump your flabby muscle around management but when your ego invades the producers, helpers and interns, that's another story. Again, these duo schmuck and prick act extends to the CC back offices. Getty leads and bows to Armstrong and a lot of it is pure blustery sweet nothings. They've cornered some decent guests and were to reward the producers who nailed down the interviews--what did they get? A lunch certificate from a Sacramento eatery that has "HOP" in it.  Big spenders. I hope they got the chance to order the meat loaf.

*Mike Shumann doesn't really care for Larry Beil at KGO-TV. I wanted you to know that. In fact, I'm going on a limb and telling you that they both can't stand each other. My best guess is that Shumann is tired of the fake Beil persona bullshit and doesn't mind calling out the King Beil.

*Finally, Karel: the entertainer. That's what he calls himself. Yeah, and I'm Queen Latifah. Maybe we can meet on the red carpet too.

  1. I haven't watched the KGO news in years. One thing I will say for Shu, he (like Wayne Walker) has strapped it on and played at the highest levels.

  2. This Larry/Shu item is so full of shit! Where do you get off just posting trash like this? 'Oh, it's my blog, I'll do what I want'

Get a life bro. I'll say to your face next time I see you walking around Piedmont Ave, Uptown or the Dimond. Yeah, I see you..acting like a fool in public; shuffling down the street, loudly yaking away on your cellphone.

    1. Yeah, we'll first off, who are YOU?

Second off, I know my source at KGO who works there and near the duo told me directly, Mr. Anonymous.

Grow a pair! WHO are YOU? Coward.

    2. Hey 917...You looking for a little attention? Is that why you came up with this bunch of bullshit?

You have no guts. You hide behind your cover. You won't go up to Lieberman. You don't have the balls. Shrimp dick.

  3. Vinnie and his sig oth just had a baby, so he'd be thinking about money like any other father. I believe this (money) is why No Name ended up leaving.

    1. It took me a while to get used to that high pitched cartooney voiced one, and the sound effects. When the program comes on, I still turn the volume down for about three minutes, too jerky, distracting and only lukewarm funny soundbites all rolled into a fat floured burrito. When that splashy debut is over, I;m back to listen to these guys, These are three dimensional men; they dont just talk politics, they touch on music and other aspects of the media, They can be good interviewers when they wish to be, brutal vivisectioners when they consider it warrented. Their producers are like alter egos. It's a mix that works at this time with those people. Their formula for gaining followers cannot be bottled, canned or cloned.

  4. Is Scott MaGrew (sp?) the new morning co-anchor on Today In the Bay?

    1. Scott McGrew, Terry McSweeney, and Peggy Bunker have been anchoring Today in the Bay when Marla Tellez left.

  5. Rich, you are so off-base when it comes to Armstrong and Getty. I know people who are left, right and center who listen to them, and my co-worker who knows nothing about politics thinks they are hysterical. You should listen more, you might actually understand how to use humor on the air.

    1. Yep. If they're a right win imbecile duo, what do you call the left wing hacks in the bay area?

    2. Didn't you mean that you really enjoy hearing a bald guy and a squishy soft guy diss women? They are juvenile, boring, and predictably misogynistic. It's not working in San Francisco, nor should it.

    3. A&G are as bad as it gets. The morons are awful and I refuse to listen to them. Same goes for that ranting idiot Frosty that follows them. Why is a Bay Area station having people in Sacramento host a program anyway?

  6. ...what does "or the Dimond" .... mean.

  7. That shot at Armstrong and Getty has tons of venom and very little content. Were the producers upset about this reward? How does this mean they think they are God?

I find their off-the-cuff banter alone to be more entertaining than 90% of what else is out there on the radio. On the air, they seem to give their producers Vince and Dominick quite a bit of airtime and treat them as friends / peers.

  8. Vinnie has the role of sidekick on that show, a position traditionally held by women, which means less pay. If I remember correctly his personal life was pretty screwed up the first time he was at Alice years ago. Fortunate to have a second chance in radio these days.

  9. I can't believe a woman I have never even cared to listen to makes close to a million dollars a year to host a radio show. Like television, aren't there cheaper alternatives coming daily from the Midwest?

  10. Radnich never mentions Beil in any negative ways. But he has said of Schulman "He looks down at local media, because they never played the game" FWIW....and not much probably.

  11. Why should Vinnie be mad at Sarah? She doesn't pay him. He should be mad at management.

    1. Because Management probably said "we have $x budget for the Sarah and Vinnie show, she is under contract until M/D/Y and until her contract is renegotiated, you are stuck making $x." Given that she has never been successful on her own, there's your resentment.

    2. That may be true, but how do you know that it bothers him (Vinnie)? He seems pretty determined to let things he can't control roll like water off a duck's back.

    Best line ever... :)

    1. Agreed. The one with the high pitched voice gets bonus points for being a hack. His voice gets higher pitched the angrier he gets or when trying to make some "profound" point. Now that I've been done listening to 910am for over a year I'm glad I don't have to hear their shitty promos.

    2. "Best line ever . . . " , IF it were true. Unfortunately. it ain't true, so it's not.

  13. Karel...The entertainer....hahahahaha...
Scooping cat turds from the litter box is more fun than his show.
