    1. I don't know who reads this blog but Lieberman could post a picture of ANY WOMAN, I mean it could be Eleanor Roosevelt or Sister Theresa, and someone will post a comment like this, "she's so hot."

    2. So I take it you disagree?

    3. Is there something wrong with her left eye these days? It does not seem to open properly. It looked ok back then in this photo.

  5. Like this picture, she belongs to the past...

    1. Like a classic Coca Cola bottle, like a Rolls Royce, like a Packard convertible, like Versace, like Norman Rockwell and Edward Hopper, like Fred and Ginger, if that's what the past is, then yes, she belongs in the past! the present is Sookie and JWoww.

    2. She still dresses like it is the Seventies.

  6. People call her old nun behind her back.

  7. Thank you, Rich, for acknowledging one of my favorite people. Catherine is an excellent anchor and reporter and a warm, lovely, gracious person. I was privileged to work with her, and am glad that she's still there to give KRON's newscasts a touch of class.

    1. Midge, you must have worked with her before Young took over.

  8. Cool, calm and collected, easily the BEST anchor on Bay Area TV, Bar none!

  9. Rich, take a look at how Stanley Roberts got caught trying to smear Oakland:

I hope you can shed some light on this and slam his stupid ass. As an Oakland resident I'm sick and tired of morons in the media who portray our great city with such negativity.

  10. I used to write for Catherine. Except she really doesn't need a writer--one of the few in front of the cameras who doesn't. She could handle "cold" copy changes flawlessly, answer text messages while on air and read smoothly when the telepromptr went down and never get flustered--and she still can, I'm sure. I've never worked with someone more prepared or focused. If everyone in the newsrooms where I've worked were Catherine Heenan, my life in the trenches would have been so much easier. Sadly, most are not.

    1. Oh, and I really enjoyed trying to make her laugh with my "deer" puns. Not enough "doe," "fawning all over the merchandise." She knows what I'm talking about... :-)

    2. I also worked with her but unfortunately disagree with what you said about her. It's quite telling why she is no longer anchoring at the station and had become much less prominent than Pam, Vicki, even darya.

    3. 1152 Must be on to something. Last weekend,no Cathy on the weekend.
No Viki either. Maybe KRON is about to do some changes?
btw It was one of the bay area's longest working reporters doing the anchoring. A guy who's almost never seen behind the desk.- Rod Fladeboe..
Fladeboe..in one of those hilarious Hegedus like voices who also did a funny shot at Radnich on weekend sports. You know where to read that.

How cute..the secret 415 password today is Roses and hearts. Simply darling.

    5. Vikie you see all week at KRON by her desk/cubicle hunched way over her keyboard, hair in ponytail, squinting at her monitor. She' in the background when they do "live from the newsroom" shots..
      She needs a bigger monitor.

And you're telling me the station consistently promotes or even recognizes the very best people there. Riiiiight.....

  11. Classy, smart and beautiful. A fine anchorwoman and from what I can tell, a really nice person.

  12. Back then, she could have been Taylor Swift's sister. Cathy has very nice, refined features. I am presuming she purposely plays the natural beauty down, to make herself look for businesslike. I dont know if it's true, but I've always heard that if a news woman was too gorgeous, she would make other women jealous,, resentful and intimidated. This used to be a very common belief. For those of you old enough to remember; recall how things went when Today' Show's Jane Pauley left her post after about 14 years. Recall how badly things went for her successor, Deborah Norville. For a few weeks, Deborah Norville was the most hated woman in America, even moreso than Casey Anthony in 2010.
