Somebody needs to tell Dan that he has a terrible singing voice. Please! I've seen him too many times at local music venues and everyone in the audience is just looking at each other commenting that he really needs to stick to his day job.
Oh, please don't anybody tell that to Dan. I've been hoping forever that this awkward teleprompter reading man would discover something else to do. BTW, anybody else notice his eyes move while he reads? He's the only local personality I've seen with this affliction.
Dan Ashleyis is the Dennis. Richmond of today. If the man wants 2 jam let him jam the way he wants, He is the best. News man in the bayarea. Hands down:)
Dan is a much better ice skater than singer. It's a novelty act. At worst, a case of the emperor having no clothes. The San Francisco Bay area has become Dan's shower.
Awfully sad to see how nasty people can be. Give the guy a break. He and the band do a nice job and give him little credit-- he performs with the band for all sorts of charity functions to raise money for good causes. I've seen plenty of people who really enjoy their music.
I think he's pretty good, actually- saw him sing the National Anthem at a Warrior's game recently and thought he nailed it. I've seen his band play too and they're good.
Hey, nobody's saying he's quitting his day job (well, actually his NIGHT job!), but I've seen them perform a couple of times, and they do a nice job. He's a good singer and a great anchor.
I was at a wine festival in Walnut Creek last summer and Dan & his band were there. They did a great job. If you want an endorsement of how good Dan really is well here it is: Jorge Santana was playing guitar with the band. Wow, incredible!

DeleteSad but true. Woeful.
ReplyDeleteActually, and you will probably laugh at what I have written, but Dan is no slouch on the guitar. I've seen him play and he is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteif indeed he does play guitar that well, he needs to hire a lead singer and plug in his Gibson.
ReplyDeleteHe has his own band..........

ReplyDeleteDan doesn't have his own band. A pretty ordinary band has HIM, which gets them attention they wouldn't get without him.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if he can play the guitar. He definitely can't sing.
