Spencer Christian the other day about the coming rain storm : "It won't make a dent in the drought" Well, duh,it would take a storm of biblical intensity to do that. He just couldn't say that the " The long journey back starts with a first step"...No,too positive. Had to beat the drought drum. He's not the only one. With them, the local reservoir is always half empty ,not half full!
Would loved to have seen Cantore say, "Excuse me," then cold cocked the SOB, and kneed him in the nuts. "There, that will freeze you up a little, you college creep son-of-a-bitch."
Rich, Did you notice the replacement for Savage today? I'll bet that was the plan all along...they knew Weiner couldn't keep up with a full hardcore week schedule at his age. What better way to introduce new talent to the Brainwashing America!

Regarding today's topic, I knew Cantore was fit but he's got good skills too. He didn't even get rocked.
I was just driving around and wanted to listen to some interesting and intelligent sports talk on my car radio, (yes, I'm one of those people who still actually liston to live radio!) so I figured that between noon and 3pm there must be a good show on at least one of the three all-sports stations,. However, I was sadly mistaken.
ON 'The Game,' (95.7FM in SF) I listened for about five minutes to some nit-wit named John Lund, who seems to think every joke he tells is so funny, and who sounds like some pimply faced high school kid who doesn't know the first thing about women. Sadly, Greg Papa has the misfortune of having to work with this fool, and he really loses some credibility in my book when he laughs at all of Lund's lame jokes. And what are they doing at the Superbowl anyway? Who out here in the SF Bay Area really gives a hoot about Denver/Seattle this weekend?
I thought Lund was horrible, so I switched over the 'The Sports Leader' for a few minutes, in the hope of hearing something more interesting. But I forgot what was on at that time on KNBR. I couldn't believe it at first, but The 'Fitz and Brooks Show' was even worse. Smarmy Fitzie and smug motor mouth Rod Brooks have got to be the worst talk show combo in local radio. And I wonder how a mediocrity such as Fitz keeps getting these gigs such as the Warriors TV play by play and network radio. He must have some incriminating photos of people doing the hiring.
Finally, I figured that perhaps Damon Bruce on 1050 might be sometime interesting, but sadly I was wrong. This bloviating know-it -all who thinks his own farts don't smell sounds angry that he has been banished to a station that virtually no one listens to. Bruce is mildly entertaining, and I'd rather listen to his show on 1050 than the dreck on the other aforementioned stations, but that's no ringing endorsement.
Rich, do you think there will ever be a time when one of the local sports radio stations decides to present just one show a day that actually talks about sports in a clear, professional, objective and entertaining manner?
By the way, whatever inspired ENTERCOM to try and go after 'the big dog in the kennel (KNBR) anyway. They're never going to win that battle.
Most reporters I know and have managed couldn't have managed a kick. Such exertion would have sent them into coughing fits from all the pot and cigarettes they smoked. I would have floored him. You don't know what a nutcase is gonna do. Great post, Rich.
Yeah, there is no drought. Just look at all of this rain we have been having in the last few months, and all of those overflowing reservoirs.
The way people carry on about this supposed drought, you would swear that there is a demand for water in this state. It is not like California has 38 million people.
Of course, that would mean actual citizens would have to go out and work the fields. Today's Princes and Princesses mustn't get dirty or lift their fingers from their e-devices, so we will have to continue living with those pesky border hopping immigrant people.

1) No, misleading. No one knows if more rain is on the way this winter, so saying that would be inaccurate. What he said was correct.
2) Learn basic punctuation, will ya?
Except this time the local reservoir is 10% full. Optimistic enough for you?
DeleteStan I'm proud of you. I thought all of you liberals didn't believe in God.
DeleteStan you look better. Thinner. Like somethings changed.
DeleteOh wait you lost the "##W!qwe 11333e #$2" from your username. I have to tell you it's a good look. Much more streamlined. So handsome!

DeleteI like how he casually raised his knee aiming for the kids nuts. Looks like he's had a lot of practice with on air trolls over the years...

The clown is back with his liberal agenda. The only one brainwashed is him, sadly.

ReplyDeleteThe water suppliers in this state love to threaten drought...
ReplyDeleteThen it's all about raising rates because less water was sold.

Just imagine if the water was only there for actual citizens of the country. We'd be overflowing. We could sell excess water.
DeleteAnother result of unchecked border hopping.
