Before they went off, did they show a short film of Bodega, CA and a bunch of ducks swimming in a pond? Folks who were late night KRON viewers in the mid-late '80s might remember that sign-off piece!
Of course, you can't listen in real-time to the game you are attending (or other games elsewhere) without buying a separate online subscription (in the case of MLB, and I assume this is the case with NFL, NBA, etc.). I wonder if there is or will-be a radio equivalent of Aereo.com , which would capture over-the-air radio broadcasts to stream over the internet? That would make an interesting legal battle.
Rich.. Maybe it is time that you do a regular web radio show. Who needs those old local radio men with sticks when you have the whole online world.
ReplyDeleteActually they are saying the traditional ways of broadcasting are on their death bed. Maybe it would be better to go under the radar...
DeleteOn a completely different note, KRON went off the air tonight, completely and utterly, at about 11:45.
ReplyDeleteAs of 12:35 AM it was still dark.
