It's Official: Savage Announces Drive-Time Change; 'Savage Nation' Will Replace Hannity; Moves to Noon-3 PM

SAVAGE GOES TO DRIVE-TIME BUT WE TOLD YOU THAT ALREADY

Who had it first? This place? No. This place? "Exclusive" and all? No.

Here, actually.

But OK, what the hell.

  1. Rich, tell MZ that the Savage announcement is how an important announcement is made. No teases, no two hour Saturday specials. In other words cut the bulls*it and decide. Savage's announcement involves 200 stations in every major market yet MZ and his small time stations can't decide what's up with Lieberman Live!? If it's dragging this long it is not a good sign bro'.

  2. A half eaten tuna fish sandwich sitting under a park bench for 3 days is an improvement over Hannity. Savage is not an improvement over Hannity.

  4. Why hire Mickey, put him on the air, then ignore the advise? Hopefully MZ didn't pay for the consultation!

  5. Hannity was never riveting. You can't say that about Michael Savage. My law firm colleague, David, is very liberal and quite smart. Who does he talk about listening to on his car radio? Savage..because anything can happen. There's a message there.

    1. Hannity Still Sounds Riveting to CC ~ Clear Channel has vowed to slot Hannity on new stations in all the markets he’s losing from Cumulus. Only one new affiliate has been announced so far: “News Talk 710” WOR, New York.~ InsideRadio

  6. Good for Mike I do think the Q has forced a Love fest between him and Mark Levin.

  8. Congratulations to Michael Savage, but I'm not so sure his style of program works so well at that hour of the day.

By the way, does anyone know who will be taking the 6-9 PM time slot on KSFO?

  10. One metro down, many more to go! Keep exposing the tired act that is Hannity! May Savage try and snag a few stations from Limbaugh as well! Gotta remove some gasbags!

  11. Someone claimed to know who was replacing Monty? Anyone know? I think Savage is vile, and KSFO will have a brutal time selling his spots in the Bay Area. Maybe they can sell national, or make he can hawk Gold or some other precious metal in what is surely a deal which gives him inventory, but I fail to see how this is beneficial for KSFO. Hannity is not good but at least he's not toxic to advertisers. The only thing sellable about Savage locally is that he's somewhat locally solely because he lives in California. But other than saying how wonderful his own life is, all he does is denigrate. That's also not very sellable, and he won't be doing local ads.

It's a shame a big financial firm decided to give so much money to a couple of small-time Southern radio novices. They are pushing along the cannibalization of the industry. This shortsighted move of moving Savage into primetime NY and day time SF is proof of that.
