TV, Radio, Internet...dishing dirt since 2001
What did you find 'pretty damn funny' Rich, the repeating of the racist fake names or the new, Korean version of the racist fake names?
You have ZERO sense of humor and you sound like a mutt.
Indeed, Munchma Quchi. I've linked to your blog from other sites, Rich, and some have been applauded by my "sophomoric" humor.(Such high-brows!) I'd rather embrace my inner kid than their inner stick-in-the-mud.
It is pretty damn funny!
Like Bobby Slayton says....if you can't laugh at yourself, laugh at somebody else.I'm surprised we haven't heard from Leland Yee or Guy Aoki yet. They're usually pretty quick to jump up on their soap box when it comes to asian affairs.
Hey...4:51 PM - get a life!
A great take on Fookgate. Both the original and the Colbert bit should be archived side by side for the ages!
I saw this last night. KTVU will probably be on The Soup tomorrow too. They love making fun of local tv screw-ups.
Hilarious!! Wonder if the late night talk shows have chimed in yet. Are Bill Maher and Jon Stewart still on hiatus??
That so many people have managed to find offense in names created for comedic effect demonstrates just how far this country's gone off its national rocker. Where once we recognized the harmless intent and accepted the entertainment value of such things, today we dare not laugh too loud at anything lest we upset any of the millions of offense-ready dullards now coming off the politically-correct assembly lines at our schools and colleges. Were he a young comedian just starting out today, Don Rickles would have trouble booking a gig on YouTube. How long before laughing at anything is declared hateful or a form of bullying?
I agree with the first comment. Not funny, if anything just more embarrassing.
Colbert nailed it!
I'm not a big Colbert fan, but damm that was funny and had me rolling on the floor again. It's going to be a loooong time before KTVU lives this down.
That was hilarious!!!!!
Hey Rich- I'm looking forward to your upcoming expose on Amy G. and some of the other incompetents in local media who never would have had a chance of being hired in this industry just ten years ago. But the standards have been lowered so much that neophytes and minor league talent like Amy G. 'Pe-Con' and 'Paulie Mack' are able to flourish in broadcasting, while competent, experienced and credible broadcast journalists are forced out of the industry.
It was amusing. Except perhaps at Cox HQ where it probably raised the temperature from boil to mercury exploding out of thermometer. It will certainly be a permanent part of those reels of "When Broadcasters Screw-Up." And Tori Campbell is the face of KTVU that will be seen over and over again on this screw-up.
It will go down in the annals likened to the pretty girl caught on camera picking her nose at a football game.
Rich baby I love you man but three hour rant today on a few "anarchist" morons from suburbia? Come on. Why give those idiots any attention? Also if you ask Dave Michaels a question let the guy answer. If I were him I'd stop responding to you. Dave is the MAN!!!
Maybe Fuk King Kaik can clue us in as to why these names are so offensive? Or maybe Stu Pid Hai Mee can? Hope you get the point Mr. Lieberman. Put yourself in someone else's shoes for a change and don't be like Sum Dum Ju. Take this video down now. There's NOTHING funny about it!!!!!!
I agree except for you lowering yourself to the sophomoric racial stuff you added for emphasis.
4:51 PM, Shit was funny as hell! Lighten up.
Wow. Nailed it.
This is hysterical!! I laughed harder at Colbert than I did when I saw the original gaffe. One element that I saw for the first time wasthe on air retraction after the commercial. Come on Tori -- "an NTSBofficial in Washington DC." Are you effing kidding me?? Is that whatthey're calling summer interns these days? You got punked. Admit it.Apologize. Move on. Don't make it worse by blaming someone else! Otherwise, you leave yourself open to the Colberts of the world to give this story a second life.
Read the morning paper and the article indicated Asiana should concentrate on assuring the public their airline is dealing with the issue instead of worrying about a TV station. Colbert had it first!!
Rich, here's a dumb question, have you requested a guest appearance from Tori since the gaff?
Read somewhere that Asiana had hired Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe to represent them!
Colbert-What a juvenile!
I just remembered Colbert's father & brother were killed in Eastern Air Lines Flight 212 crash in 1974 on Sept 11 no less.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Air_Lines_Flight_212
