TV, Radio, Internet...dishing dirt since 2001
And the only thing lamer is Rich's tireless complaints about the unexceptional routine things that media does.
Rich, are you trying to be a "shock jock" blogger now to get attention? You've tried everything else, short of a sex tape.
Uh, you haven't seen my sex tape with Ruth Buzzi?
1:06 Is making an attempt to cover up her, her and Jan Wahls tape. As for the heat A few of us tax payers have been out so the 4P 5P 6P 9P 10P "NEWS" Weather reports will be useless
"Care for a Walnetto, Rich?"
This morning all I heard on the news shows was, "Coming up, how YOU can beat the heat." Uh, I don't need a reporter to tell me how to do that.
So, what do you do?
Cut on a fan, drink more water, go to the beach, go to the movies, eat some ice cream, put on sun screen, wear a hat....should I continue??? Or should I wait until 5pm for some reporter to tell that my grandma is at risk for heat stroke, or wait to hear "tips" on how not lock my kids and pets inside a car with the windows rolled up?
It's a very hot day. Rich has been commenting on it. Why should everyone else in the media be mocked for talking about it?
That's funny calling someone Douchebag reminds me of home in New Jersey
Yeah, but Rich talks about it for three hours at a stretch. Gets old and boring. Not a lot one can do about. Gimme the highlights. Heat is dangerous and life threatening and not to be mocked. It's not so funny inside nor outside.
For the media to ignore the worst Caifornia heat wave in five years would be stupid.
It's not a matter of ignoring it. It's how the media substitutes sticking a microphone in somebody's face and saying, "Is the heat bothering you?" rather than doing real stories on it, although last night John Fowler, one of the few real reporters left in the Bay Area, did a nifty piece on climate science. But that's the exception and not the rule. It's just like after some national disaster or tragedy you get the obligatory "Could it happen HERE?" reporting. Yes, of course 50 people could die in an office building collapse here, what's your effing point???Then of course there are the "Is your child safe" story whenever some kid cuts his finger opening a jar of peanut butter, another go-to for lazy assignment editors and producers who don't want to think.
At least the "Media" will have a legitimate use of Breaking News.
