  1. I did not know the black helicopter was still on the Air. But hey He hit #4 so there must still be Suckers Buying Gold. If so many in this Country are "Have Nots" Why Is Sharpton Dead Last?

  7. Rich,

I used to watch Wally George all the time, just to see him explode.

First, he and his actress-daughter Rebecca were "estranged". They didn't get along and he used to call her names on the air when he was on KCOP channel 13 in LA. In fact, they hated each other. He didn't approve of her "movie careet" at all and thought she was "trash."

As for him, his audience would shout "Wally! Wally! Wally" -- a lot like Jerry Springer's audience when Wally would go off on his rants.

One thing I liked a lot -- Wally would get so pissed off at a guest who didn't agree with his ultra-right wing opinion and he'd point at the guest as say, "Get off my stage! Get off! Now! You're off my show! Get out!"

He did this frequently and the guest would rip off the lapel mic and Wally would chase him off stage at times. And scream? Oh, yeah, he did that a lot, too!

  8. Rush Limboob Sean "Tennis Ball" Hantasy and There Water boy marky mark and the crazy bunch Levin all one in the same From 9a to 6p

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sean Hannity rules with 13 million listeners!
    Where is KGO?

  10. Those numbers are absurd if you're using to bolster an argument that someone on that list is good/bad.

Lets look at Levin, who is in drive time NYC (after Hannity). Levin can't pull a 4 share. That's the basis of whether he's good. There's hardly anyone against him, and if he's not pulling a 4 then he's not doing a good job. Same goes for Savage, who likes to tout his ratings in NYC. He's #1? Against? Even if he has a better rating than Hannity, which he does, he has a lower cume.

The reality here is that other than Rush, all of these guys are doing very little relative to their past. If they were great they'd be holding audience regardless of new technologies and outlets. But they aren't. Because the truth is they aren't that good. Rather, they are the only games in the syndicated town.

To Savage's credit, he is better than all of them, except maybe Rush. He has more talent than Rush, but Mr Limbaugh is an institution at this point. From a talent level, Savage is better. Then again I'd rather listen to Smerconish because the political thing is quite lame.

End of day these numbers mean nothing.

The only number that matters to me is hearing from someone that "Cumulus thinks it's doing a good job because despite a loss of $10 Million in revenue they managed to cut $11 Million in expenses! And Wall Street likes that."

That's what radio is now, and that's how you hear all these below average radio hosts on the dial.

  11. So from where is all this talk about Mike Savage ruling the roost or getting offers up the yin yang, and just ZOOM-zoomin past poor old Mr. Rush-Mush. I wish Laura Ingrahm was heard in the Bat Area. Is the Rev. Hucklebee really down into the single digits? Wow, how far some have fallen.

  12. My god@ Karel has disappeared from the charts! :)

  13. Wow, and all this time I thought it was only a matter of months before he was going to see El Rushbo in his rear view mirror. This is after he says for the hundredth time he has two Masters and a Doctorate. Oh, by the way here's a copy of my new book, the publisher is tired of looking at them and the bookstores can't give them away.

    1. I hate Savage's politics, but don't pretend Rush is better than he is. Rush has a machine at his disposal. What does Savage have? Cumulus? The poor Cumulus with no funds? Be realistic even if Savage isn't.

  14. Is this why Tom Sullivan was dropped by 910 recently? He's not listed at all. I just noticed Frosty is on 910 now.

  15. I am waiting for Ed Schultz to get his TV spot back. I don't know why he is no longer on the tube.

    ReplyDelete
  16. No Randy Rhodes? Like most liberal talkers, she doesn't have a lot of radio outlets. The Cons have all the stations and strong signals. Totall disgusting h the hate these assholes spew. Ed Schultz will probably get his TV gig back on MSNBC. Chris Hayes' ratings are horrible. Hey, bring back Keith Olbermann!!!

  17. Now that KGO isn't what I listen to except for when Pat is on on Saturday and Sunday, we listen to Coast to Coast AM (fm) with George Noory. At least it's entertaining. O_o

    ReplyDelete
  18. Alan Colmes beats Rhodes because he has outlets. He's not better than she is, but women never really do much nationally in talk radio. Hate to say it but it's a male game.

    1. So if it's a male "game", as you assert, how did those women make the top ten list? Similarly, if only men control the "game", why is talk radio, once the hot medium, now in the doldrums or death throes? I guess you'll have to attribute that to men....right? It being their "game" and all?

    2. Once again Chris over thinks a remark while trying to fit the world into her perception of reality. A potentially promising career flushed down the toilet due to over thinking things.

Thank god for blogs and forums, she has a podium to further her crusade of truth and intellect.

I saw Jane Harman a few days ago trying to defend the nsa spygate. She's another broad that could use a good smack in the mouth.

    3. Spot on, Christine. Women totally dominate that list.

Guess what's also a male game? Wall Street. But low and behold there are a few women traders out there. None of them run the banks, but you'll find them from time to time.

Yeah, it's a male game. Sorry. And you've done little to change that, but I'm sure you'll disagree.

    4. Hey Christine what is it with your penchant for using these five & dime legal terms like "assert"
What? are you in the court room?
Always reminding people of your legal background.
As if this somehow validates and gives weight to your opinions here.
      Signed

BTW let's see how many grammar and spelling corrections you find here.

  19. 3:37 wow such courage! such manliness! do you get a little stiffie when you anonymously threaten to smack women because you hate their ideas? Are you too trembly to let me and former congresswoman Harman see your real name?
    10:34,okay I'm game...courtroom is one word.
7:48 apparently you are unaware that several of the top CEOs in the tech world are.....female.There are also many powerful women on Wall Street and internationally speaking, the head of the IMF rules that world, sans penis. Perhaps you've not heard of that US Senator who makes them all queasy, Elizabeth Warren.
Gee whiz, those three women SCUS justices are just a mirage.
Finally, laughably to the poor goon who has never heard of the word "assert",it's not a "legal" term, despite your assertion. Good day.

    1. Marissa Meyer got a job at Yahoo because she was going nowhere at Google. That's a fact. Like I said, there are a few here and there, but I didn't mention tech. I mentioned banks. Banks run the world. The IMF? I think it's cute you think that's a real bank, or that a French female lawyer actually runs it. What does the IMF actually "rule?" Do you have a clue what you're talking about? And when people mention the biggest banks, does anyone ever mention the IMF? No. They don't. Try to keep up here...

Men rule talk radio, both on air and in the boardrooms. There are a few marginally talented women out there, but at the end of the day this is a fact. There's not been a single woman who has made a serious impact in the history of talk radio. Just another fact. Whether this is because of a talent, I can't say. It's just a little thing called reality. And you won't be making an impact either. I've heard your show. Good day.

    2. Oh yeah? well you didn't catch my abbreviation error. SCOTUS is the proper abbreviation for Supreme Court of the United States.

  20. I can think of plenty of prominent talkers not listed here. Jim Rome jumps to mind... I'm pretty darn sure he has more listeners than Al Sharpton...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Does anybody have any info on how well satellite radio is doing? Howard Stern and Dr. Laura used to dominate these listings, but how are they doing now?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well, ersatz 2:18 "Christine", catch this:
Neither SCOTUS nor SCUS are abbreviations. Both are widely used. Both are acronyms.

On another matter, wasn't the number two talk show host in the country(broadcast) for several years a woman?(right after Rush)

  23. It's really a sad commentary about America that a bloviating windbag like 'Rush-bo' is still listened to. It just shows you how dumb so many Americans are.
