Oh, Master?

I love to be lectured. Inform me. Tell me how you shall educate me and make myself a viable part of your life.
Validate my very existence on the vast media planet.

Make sure when I make a mistake you correct me, now don't you forget, because it IS YOUR DUTY, to correct me, for you never make mistakes, master, you fail to realize that you, master, are perfect, are illustrious and always the master of your craft. You are the KING, I am the servant. You are numero uno, me, just a fallen branch off the tree in the forest. Even though you have ventured into my land, master; although I have never breached into your world, and even though you broke my fence and yielded fast through my gate, you are the kingpen, master, and it is incumbent upon you to educate me and tell me how to do my job. I don't know what I'd do without you. You are filled with an enormous amount of expertise in this craft--you have a bevy of experience in collecting data and guests and information vital to my needs and pleasurement. Do not abandon me, master. In fact, shall you do so, I will pray to the Almighty and inflict great pain on you and make you listen to Karel and the Murph and Mac Show. Monty too.

Please master, do keep me on your watch. And I shall continue to provide you daily porridge from my Forest. Thank you, master, for keeping me informed and on my toes. You are great, master.

*Follow me, master, on my Twitter.

  1. Golly. Rich has lost it. Merely a deflection of thin skinned hyperbole. If you make it sound like you're a big fish, Rich, that's when you have to watch out for the little sharks before they bite your tail off. - Confusios

  3. Say what?!

From the thin-skinned blogger who can dish it out but can't take it?

What's got you really worked up today: the critical comments that have been posted or the flaming comments that really touched a raw nerve from me and others that you censored by not posting?

    1. I was censored too. The only one losing out is the train operator. He seems hell bent to drive his locomotive off the rails....

Presumably Rich's sarcasm is his only way to respond to readers criticizing his Piers Morgan v. Alex Jones commentary. Most people watch the video and think Piers Morgan may be a bit of an annoying twit but comes off far better than that ranting lunatic, Alex Jones.

Yet Rich tries to crucify Piers Morgan and finds positive things to say about Alex Jones, with whom it turns out, Rich shares common commercial interests.

Far be it for thin-skinned Rich, to ever acknowledge that he's wrong about anything. Instead he launches a sarcastic attack on those who "lecture" him. That seems particularly ironic in view of the way he himself constantly lectures the media at large about the way they do their job: too much coverage of Little League team, too many holiday fluff pieces, too much excitement about Giants World Series, etc.

you nailed it! I would think Rich had a thicker skin than what he just showed. I am very far from perfect, but i know it i throw S*&^ at something, they may fire back.

  7. Gee Rich has a 'real job' (albeit with the Zwerlings) so now folks either have to "change the dial" or stfu because criticism is no longer allowed or encouraged? Rich, besides spreading gossip, this is all you have done since I started checking in on this blog. You've got to be kidding, otherwise you are a real asshole.

    1. Can you imagine if during their heyday Gene Burns and Ray Taliafero told callers who disagreed with them: ”change the dial!”, we would've missed great radio!
Rich, you are alienating even your supporters with your attitude and paper thin skin.

  8. Rich, I find your sarcasm extremely insensitive! I am hereby alaigning my values and loyalties with the others. I will sell my guns, join the democratic party, buy a prius, resume my bed wetting activities, and leave a rather scornful remark on Yelp ( the chosen assault weapon of weasels) if you do not offer a sincere apology to the public at large at once.

    You have been warned!

  9. Good lord, Richie get over yourself. A week with a show, and you go straight to the diva attitude? Wow, someone should be blogging about you!

  10. I, um, wonder how many screens this piece of crap showed up at KGO KNBR, KFOG and KSFO today? With a smiley face under it? I'm just guessing but maybe lots? That gang has sure been quiet lately. I just imagine the "tee hees" going on in the Hawthorne Building over this rant.

  11. Try a little humility, Rich!

  12. I enjoyed this blog a lot more before you started this radio venture. You're pretty much ruining the thing you did well in order to protect something you don't. Show some humility. This is embarrassing.

  13. At least Rich puts it out there for all of us to see. That can't be said for all of the "Anonymous" people who love to rip over the internet. Got to love the badasses when behind a keyboard...so tough, so scary!
