Ask John if he think Morssi in Egypt will be our new tyrant, I would like to hear his perspective.
ReplyDeleteSo far, not so good in the streaming department. No Rich to be heard and it is 8:20 pm. Instead there is a vintage radio show called the Line Up.
ReplyDeleteIs there any chance that the, ahem, "engineers" can get this fixed in time for me to hear John Rothmann? I've been waiting all week to hear Rothmann.
My god Rich...
ReplyDeleteWhy have guests if you are going to do all the talking. Your questions go on and on like a politician at a congressional hearing. If you\ are putting on a monologue show then say so up front
Excellent point 8:57. Smack on! Your questions, Rich, are so convuluted and have no thought or sense. Concise and to the point, man. Is Zwerling teaching you to do talk radio? You have a tendency to let your ego get in the way too much. At this point, you're not ready for ego. I felt sorry for all four of your guests. Little substance. Colmes will eat you alive next week. Welcome to hack radio again. Somebody please get Karel's dog to a vet. I'm sick of the crying on the air.
DeleteQuestions were a combination of Ralph Barbieri and Professor Irwin Corey.
DeleteWell said, 1:54 pm.
DeleteNever mind! It's all fixed now. Yea!
ReplyDeleteRothman is speaking as if he believes the Republicans are the legitimate rulers and the Democratic win was an aberration. Rothman, your guys lost. There was an election, remember? Stop plotting your revenge and try to work with your opposition for the good of the country.
ReplyDeleteUm, you know he is a Democrat, right?
DeleteOnce the tech issues went away, things sounded good. Was it me or did Ken Wayne sound nervous, which is strange given his profession?
DeleteHaving John Rothmann on is always a treat. Please consider having him on more regularly.
Tech issues aside, I do like what I was hearing. I expect a certain amount of roughness the first week but I hope things get figured out fairly quick. Rich, you are still new at this so I'm still expecting some learning going on but any tech issues not attributed to you but the station and I really hope the Zwerlings get things together. They've had 20 years of experience running stations and, at times, it still sounds like amateur hour over there. You are delivering top notch guests right out of the gate. They need to be up to the same task of delivering their best as well. Running a station is not a vanity project.
Beyond that, I love that they have podcasts available and please ask Warburton about his time as The Tick, his live action superhero show from years ago.
I agree with 11:24pm. What are the Zwerlings doing? Rich's show has been in the works for a few weeks at least and they can't get the link to their web site to work properly? Come on man! Last night Peter B. Collins broadcast from Maui via KGO without a single glitch, yet it is a comedy of errors broadcasting from Aptos....here is hoping next week is smoother....
DeleteRichie put your show on archive not everyone is going to listen at 8PM on a sat or sun night. You'd be surprised how archieving works and might be able to give away more those Richie Lieberman bobbleheads and congratulations with the program
DeleteFirst night already archived as a podcast.

Rich...the Sunday show only has its first two hours posted as of now (11/27/12). Since you kept the wonderful John Rothman on into the third hour, I was hoping to listen to that hour via the podcast page as well. Ditto the comments above that I hope you have him as a recurring guest.
DeleteAnother famous voice that relishes being a guest on local radio is Larry King. I hope you have him as a future guest too.
Putting aside all the technical glitches I'd give your first two shows a 7 out of 10. The main criticism is with regards to the third hour. You spent way too much time in that third hour promoting next week's show. I did not tune in to hear about who is on next week, I tuned in to hear a talk show. Also you kept giving the phone number yet rambled on and on and on without taking calls and when you finally did you cut them off quickly. I am sure the kinks will be worked out...
