Will Cabrera apologize to CSNBA's Baggarly?

Andrew Baggarly, of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, wrote a column last month, apologizing about writing of rumors involving steroids linked to Giants slugger, Melky Cabrera.

We now know what's transpired.

My question: Will Cabrera apologize to Baggarly?

  1. No reason for him to, it was a loaded question, almost rhetorical in a sense, as one has to ask how many possible ways could it have been answered at the time?

  2. Are you kidding me...that's a retorical question. Melky does not care about Andrew Baggerly, the Giants or the fans. All he cares about is the $6M he's going to get this year minus the $1.8M that will be subtracted for the 50 games.....he's SOUR Melk

  3. No,legally never admit it. He could even claim he started AFTER Baggs accused him. Sure,it sounds crazy..but after the OJ trial, anything is possible.

  4. Lowell Cohn asked "What word would you abolish"?. I said that KNBR says "pissed",especially Ralph in his day.
So,what do I hear this morning in only a few minutes? Kuiper is "pissed" at losing Cabrera and TWICE Kate Scott said the word.
Way to go KNBR. Read what the public doesn't like about you..and then you do even more of it! That's the old Republican heart at work.

Stan, you think KNBR read your imbecilic post on Lowell Cohn's blog and deliberately used that word to irritate you?

    4. Krukow this morning was "pissed". THAT's a whole lot of urine talk on one sports station in such a short period. I haven't heard the word on theGame.
Darn,Raddy wouldn't go along with the memo...

  5. Cabrerra will never apologize to Andrew Baggarly.
He has the Chronicle and Comcast to support him.
Who needs a little writer from the Bay Area Newspaper Group?

    1. Baggarly doesn't work for bay area news group. He works for Comcast.

  6. Baer better put those 'Melk-Man' constumes on sale at the Giants's dugout stories while he demand is still high. At least Bonds had the smarts never to get caught (of course this was before testing), while Mr Melk-Man' thought he could get away with it, even after testing. What a fool!

Way to go Melky...! Disgrace yourself, betray your teammates, the front office and the fans, and basically ruin what was a very promising Giants season, not to mention your own career. What team is now going to give you anything more than a few million next year for just one year? You think a team is going to pay some guy millons of dollar over many years for a player who's stats were inflated because of steroid use?

About the only good news on this one is that if the Giants do want to resign him for next year
(and they probably won't), they'll get him for somelike like 1 year and three million, about half of what they were going to pay him this year.

    1. I really hope they don't replace the Melkman bs and costumes with something playing off Hunter Pence's name. Foam orange and black bow and arrows? Camoflauge orange and black t-shirts with Hunters name or number on them? Wow, I bet thats coming just watch. Sometimes it just gets TOO ridiculous. Play baseball, quit the BS for the bandwagon fans who will move on to the A's next time they win a series. Then the sharks. Then the warriors. Maybe I should invest in Earthquakes gear prior to the new stadium opening...

    2. What you do is sign him for 1 year $3 million but get that team option for the 2nd year in case he really is something.

  7. Cabrera apologize? Surely you jest. And to hear the "impartial" media (more Kate Scott than Duane Kuiper) express their feelings on the matter is disgusting. Why should the media be pissed about what's happened? The Giants mouthpiece's feelings are questionable, yet understandable...but an "impartial" media source? There's no reason why a media outlet should have an ownership interest in a team. Takes all of the objectivity away. But wait...it's all about money, right? The world is all f+*&^% up.

Yes, it is about money. You didn't know that? Did you think MLB teams are philanthropic organizations?

  8. No, Melky won't apologize because Melky is all about Melky; I'll explain. In the winter of 2010, he started working out with freakin A-Rod...practically an indictment right there...he has a career year in KC; why would they get rid of him? for Sanchez???...now, like it or not, his personal choices come up for discussion; to wit: here is a Latin American ballplayer in 2012...who can't speak any English? I could easily see it for a player from Japan or Korea but this is not 1962; MLB has spent untold millions in various baseball camps and part of the whole thing is a basic course in English, precisely so these guys will raise their comfort level and fully reach their potential...then, we hear from Pagan, Panda and others that Melky, rarely speaks to ANYONE, Spanish, English, nothin' ...guy lives with his Mom, who cooks, cleans and does laundry for him; OK, what I'm trying to say is Melky, most likely behaves like a spoiled kid. A helluva ballplayer, but stupid and reckless like a teenager who's never been told he's wrong.
