The Romney Speech; Your chance to react at 415 Media Tonight

As a reader notes, yes, I'm a political junkie.

And yes, I have written not a word about the Republican Convention. Why so? Mainly because I've watched little.

Until tonight.

I will watch the Romney speech and will provide a forum for those of you interested in some analysis, discourse and yes, debate. We will do the same for the Democrats next week.

Let's keep it clean, (for a change), and try to be fair and balanced. See you then.

  1. I'm looking forward to not only Mitt's speech but Clint Eastwood's as well. Who will speak on Obama's behalf at the DNC? Jay Z?

    1. And this comment is exactly why I'm a Democrat. Republicans are not all racists, but if you're a racist, you're probably a Republican.

    2. The dem's are no less evil, just a different brand. They prefer to mince words while taxing and spending.

Ever see the video of Robert Reich telling congress that the job creation funds should go to the minorities? Goodbye capitalism, hello socialism.

      No less evil...

    4. Asking if JayZ will speak for Obama is racist? That's quite a stretch, but nice try!

    5. Who will speak for Barrack Obama at the DNC?
Lets' see, the leadership of Hamas, or possibly Hezbollah?

  2. Hoping Clint speaks and talks about his thoughts on gay marriage and the importance of fidelity and marriage. Yeah, that will go over well.

Fair and balanced? If the news coverage can't be, what hope is there for the commentary?

  3. How do you honestly expect people to "keep it clean" when it comes to stuff like this? It's best to just stay away from it. Mostly because of the crap I'm gonna see in the comments section next week. I hope you have rules on comments posted. I mean "Jay Z" really? The douchebags are out already I see!

And your use of the word "douchebags" speaks volumnes of you.
Who is calling the kettle black?

  4. The Republican Party and Mitt Romney are both jokes. If this is the best candidate that the GOP can find, then they have really fallen off the cliff in recent years. The problem with the Republican Party is that it's out of touch with the mainstream of America.

Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are able to sway a few imbeciles into supporting the party of greed and short sided thinking, but that's because so many of the folks who live in middle america
in our southern states, and in places such as California's inland empire are not very politically savvy, nor are they worldly or educated.

What's really sad is that most of these folks are middle class, yet they support a party that has gutted the middle class and
done everything it can to turn the clock back on womens' rights, hard fought victories for minorities, environmental legislation, while also trying to limit oversight of our industries. It's amazing how some people are so stupid that they will vote against their own interests, just because they think some boob like Romney supports their values.

    1. Wow, I'm so terribly sorry that you must live amongst all of the fools who happen disagree with you, it must be torture! I'm glad you have such a high opinion of yourself, and are able to look down upon all of us lesser fools! I always love it when the most tolerant and open minded amongst us tell us how they really feel!

Yes, just like the "socialist" bank bailouts. Or do you prefer the laughable euphemism "crony capitalism"? That is, after all, what your ilk persists in labeling corporate welfare.

  7. Gov Romney is about to speak, but I remain stunned by Clint Eastwood's performance. Talking to an empty chair, implying obscenities, rambling on and on. Truly embarrassing.

  8. JayZ can sit it out, BO has Rosie Odonnell and Baldwin to step up and define him.
