OK, so insert as follows:
Dana King, Cheryl Jennings, Christina Loren, Anne Makovec and Pam Moore.
Gasia Michaelian, permanent fill-in.
Bam! Well, it sure as hell beats 7Live or that snoozefest on PIX every weeknight.
I want free plugs.

You have to pay Dr. Rosanelli like everybody else!
ReplyDeleteFun...how about Jan Yanahero (SP?) and Ana Chavez doing occasional fill in work?
ReplyDeleteIs there a place for Ann Frasier?
DeleteWhere is Ana Chavez? As a male teen in the late 80s and early 90s I used to drool over her!!!
DeleteActually.. how about Suzanne Shaw
ReplyDeleteHmm...
DeleteHow about: Dana King, Pam Moore, Claudine Wong, Belva Davis and
ReplyDeleteCheryl Jennings
I second that, especially Ms. Davis! LOOOOOOOOVE her!
DeleteBelva davis is ready for old folks home. That show on public tv a real sleeper, she hosts it in slow motion.
ReplyDeleteYou must be the same person who thinks Michael Krasney is "boring."
DeleteNo offense, but your list a combo of too old and how tight can I get this dress to fit.
ReplyDeleteyou miss the whole point of The View..do you know the varying ages of women on that show.?.from 30's through 80's
DeleteThanks for the idea Rich ,I will pitch it to one of the local tv giants.
ReplyDeleteRich, I just woke up from a nap....I read this, now I'm off tooooo finish this sweet dream!
ReplyDeleteThere would be a perfect gig for Barbieri. All that estrogen. He'd fit right in. Of course he'd have to share the microphone. And not getting the last word would kill him.
ReplyDeleteyou need to get some women who are not currently doing t.v. news..T.V. news require that they homogenize themselves to create that seamless connection between programming and commercials.. Actually Suzanne Shaw would be fabulous...and others old enough to be able to say what they actually think, women who aren't intimidated by their current employers.
ReplyDeleteActually not a bad idea. Collectively they have a strong base following. But could they pull enough interesting guests and/or celebs to make it work? It would take a pretty hard working, hustling producer to make that type of show go locally..
ReplyDeleteRoberta,Jacky of KRON,Elizabeth Wenger,Erica Kato of KRON,Francis Dinglasan. ALL enjoy being girly girls..and wear short skirts and or cleavage.
ReplyDeleteDarya is first alternate...Diane Dwire Amy G. Grace Lee. Ama Daetz...and the beautiful and underrated Lisa Gulezian I think is her name. And last but not least Lisa Argen..a girly cougar.
Lisa Argen, ...
Delete-whom, when on KRON, said about a morning forecast that the temperatures would stay low, after the fog retreated to the shore, because the sun had expended so much energy dissipating the fog --
-whom, when KGO was inviting photographs from viewers, commented that a picture from Capitola, showing the sun out over the ocean, was a lovely "sunrise" --
-whom, in March of 2011, confused the day of the vernal equinox, with the first day of the switch to daylight saving --
..., is someone you want to see/hear on a discussion program ??
Wouldn't work.
ReplyDeleteI thought Ann Frasier passed away a few years ago.
ReplyDeletewhy are you hating on the View rich?
ReplyDeleteChristine Craft and Grace Slick
ReplyDeleteYes indeed!
DeleteKarel?
ReplyDeleteRich, why don't you be the token male?
ReplyDeleteTo follow The View formula:
ReplyDeleteBig black buffoonish one: Deborah Edgerly
Old, seemingly wise white one: Christine Craft
Cute white one in the short skirt: Jaymee Sire
Wise black comedian: Rene Hicks
Annoying big mouth Jewess: Jan Whal
None of those people have the kind of personality that could drive a show...not a one. They are all solid news people, but you could only have one news person on the show, just like Barbara Walters. You need variety. If you get more it drags it down. Local shows simply cost too much to make them presentable for them to compete with the national shows.
ReplyDeleteYeah yeah yeah, go away already!
DeleteRich threw out a perfectly fantastic idea--but there are always going to be those who say, with pursed lips and squinty eyes, "That couldn't possibly work. I know everything!"
Local shows are not competing with national!
To wit: Gregory Correa's "Harmonics" airs on East Bay Cable TV. Gregory does wonderful in depth half hour interviews with local musicians and those who make the music happen! I find it quite enlightening. He recently interviewed local blues treasure, Ron Thompson. Check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SohSbzkL6-o
