Well, some of us figured this whole matter would be resolved with a plea deal, (especially nifty for the accused).
SF Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi feels pretty good. He should.
The Bay Area media, on the other hand, has to feel mightily disappointed. After all, this alleged, local domestic dispute that happened to involve one of SF's most powerful criminal justice officials would have made for a dandy legal affair.
Juicy, you say? We agree. Hell, we even heard that one of the really huge tabloid stars was raring to come to the city to report on the proceedings. There goes that would -be 415 expense account.
Oh, let's give credit where credit is due: None other than Willie Brown himself advised Mirkarimi and his legal staff to cut a deal, and da dam, a deal was done. Kudos to Da Mayor. I think the sheriff owes him and his lawyer dinner at Tadich.

Yup!
ReplyDeleteHe is a loser and should be RECALLED. He has a history of this activity and his wife will find out in time. Lets hope she and Theo don't get the short end of his violence in the end.
ReplyDeleteSo the sheriff of SF who oversees the incarceration of inmates is himself a convicted criminal and he gets to keep his job? Talk about different levels of justice, one for the elite and one for the rest of us. Today is a day when Gene Burns is sorely missed. This is a topic that would have easily taken three solid packed hours. If I win lotto tomorrow I am bringing back the all stars. F-U Dickey brothers and you too Jared Hart-ass
ReplyDeleteand if I win the lotto tonight, I'll give Ross M the bucks he needs to retract the one misdemeanor plea prior to sentencing and press onward with a trial.
