I'm stuffed. (Thanks sis)
I didn't see much of the HarBowl, but got the final score. Not really a big surprise and no one got killed. The 49ers will recover.
Saw some extended Comcast post-game coverage with Dave Benz and Dwight Clark. Clark is pretty good--he'd be even better if he was able to look directly at the camera. But he did make some good observations. (Except to say, "I don't want to make any excuses for the 49ers but they did have a short week." Of course, had the Niners won, would it have made a difference if it was a 'short week?')
Dave Benz is good at being Dave Benz. (Figure it out).
Now I'm really fighting indigestion. Where's the diet ginger ale?
Screw Black Friday, by the way. I'm going to sleep.
Have to agree Rich..screw Black Friday.
ReplyDelete"I can't believe you ate the whole thing."
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting all of us out here in the bog sphere vent Richie!
ReplyDeleteYou are continuing to provide a valuable service! Happy holidays to you and the rest of the east bay folks. Go Rai-duhs!
I also watched Dave Benz and Dwight Clark after the Ravens game. Dwight told a story of how the 1981 49ers had a winning streak snapped and how Bill Walsh pointed to that loss as the best thing to happen to that team since it provided the team a resolve to get more focused thereafter. After they won their first Super Bowl, Walsh pointed to that loss as the best thing that could have happened to that team.
ReplyDeleteAlways interesting to hear Walsh stories and provide some perspective that might help fans of today's team. Lowell Cohn is a good source for such stories.
Dave Benz has the former habits of Jerry Rice. Rice in his first few years could not talk without moving his hands.
ReplyDeleteBenz is all over the place with Lorenzo Neal and Eric Davis and now with Clark.
Message to Dave: Fold 'em one on top of the other and then you might not look so "Skitzo"
